I am of the opinion that only the obvious ins for next week. Although I concede that Martin looks in need of a rest. I really want to keep NRobbo and Matho in so hard to know who comes out if Rocky and Bewick are ready. Mayes still isn't doing quite enough so perhaps him. Freeman really needs to lift his workrate too.

Too early to say as we don't know who is available to come in just yet.

Thought Mayes and Freeman did rather well today. Freeman was able to clunk a few and put on pressure in the fifty and Mayes was putting his body on the line for once, which was nice for a change.

For mine I think Nick Robbo will come out, whilst he goes hard at the pack, his disposal is letting him down, he could have hit a couple of guys on the chest inside the 50 today if he looked, has to stop blazing away.

Going by what was said last week on recovery report I would go:
In: Rockliff, Gardner/Bewick
Out: 2-3 unlucky players forced out of the squad.

Everyone out there did put in a good effort. Stef and Hanley however are concerning for me, despite them getting a lot of the ball, they don't seem as damaging as usual, maybe time for a rest.

If Walker had even a half decent performance today then I'd bring him in for Freeman who I reckon played just like the ressies reviews he's mostly been getting this year.

Walker got five goals it seems.

Freeman was in Schaches way a bit today i thought. Seemed to be attacking the same ball, sometimes Schache had a good sit on it but freeman came over the top of him, probably more negative effect than positive. Would have liked to see him playing more smart, taking his opponent out of contests instead of going for the same ball. Also thought his 2nd efforts were non existent. Just gives up running or switches off. Was 1 time when he would have only been 20m away from the guy with the ball and had an unmarked opponent 10m further ahead than him. He just switched off and looked away. He wouldnt have been able to impact either player, but to not even look when you are that close, to not jump or show any effort i thought was poor. Either he is lazy and just wants to take the big grabs and kick goals, or he is really unfit.

To be fair, Schache and Freeman haven't really played alot of games together. They need play together in order to work tandem with each other. Freeman deserves another couple of games to prove himself and develop some sort of partnership with Schache. Walker needs another week in the seconds against better opposition.

Outs. Martin Bastinac.
In. Bewick Rockliff.

Bewick back in to play his roaming role. Rocky in to assume his position.

Should Bastinac be dropped? Thought he was one player who didn't do much today.

Wasn't great and Brown's dig about him needing to do more that just be a depth player rings really true. At the moment though I don't see him being dropped because, well, he's a depth player on a team that doesn't have any.

But he has a player who is twice as good as him to come in. Who else would you drop for rocky.

Think I'd still take Basti over Nick Robertson at the moment which seems unfair because Robbo has just had perhaps his best game and he brings some contested aggression that we really need but I think Basti's ball use and skills are better and we need that too and it is harder to achieve short-term. I also think that Robbo's aggression needs to be toned down or redirected just a little and that perhaps that is a maturity thing for him to work on.

Sorry rider but i disagree with everything you said. Nrobbos aggression today was perfect. Broke tackles. Used his agility and long running. Disposals not so great but when u have a second gamer showing basti how its done is concerning. Robertson keeps his spot for mine.

I thought Bastinac was pretty good today but maybe I'm wrong? Thought he did some really good stuff.

Will have to watch the replay obviously

Watch the replay from today. You must of been at the wrong venue.

Stef needs a rest shocking today, Rocky you think will play and I really hope leppa picks the team on form and not name because bastinac was not good enough today and I thought Nick Robbo played quite well.

Stefarn and Bastinac OUT

Bewick and Rocky IN

IN Bewick and Rocky
OUT Robertson and someone

Robertson will run and play hard but hes too mentally slow and lacking skills. The play on from the mark was classic , busted a gut to get there, makes an error and then butchers a handball when he can still get out of bother.

That was arguably Robbos best game for us. Wouldnt be so quick to drop him personally.

Freeman out for Walker most likely at least.

I just don't see any real upside so would rather drop him than the younger more talented guys. Think his play today was OK but still not in our top 7, and that's his best game in 3 years.

I would give Freeman another week, maybe bring in walker for West or Martin who may need a rest.
