I thought Neades pressure was good. He didn't do enough else but he did enough to get 1 more week for mine. Especially with Polec out we need outside pace.

There are others I would drop before Neade.

Polec is a massive loss. Can't see us beating Richmond or Collingwood without him honestly. Unless we somehow pull something out of our ass coz our outside run is deplorable as it is shown up by two average sides thus far.

All the 'good pressure' Neade applied was a consequence of his complete inability to read the play and get to a contest before his opponent. The junk time nothing goal he kicked at the end was probably the first clean possession that hit a target he had all day. Dougal Howard applies less defensive pressure than Neade, because unlike Neade he actually gets the ball himself.

Neade should never play for us again. But he'll play for us next week, there's nothing surer. Such a good bloke.

Neade and Impey are those "magic" players that get given more fake time than their output deserves

Ryder spending big chunks of the second half playing forward was a sure indicator Hinkley knows Trengove isn't the answer up there. Will it translate into the required changes of Trengove moving back and Howard brought in as a genuine foil for Dixon? Probably not. More than likely Ryder was thrown forward to show us all that the current balance of the side is right.
