Lot of love here. I feel like hugging somebody....but fear it might turn into a Danny Southern headlock.

Good luck......hoping our guys put up a good fight. If we are thrashed watch the nay-sayers jump all over us.
Anyone know which of the dogs extended bench travelled? ^hint...
Hoping Caleb Daniel stays in Vic. He's to nimble for us.

Score updates aplenty this week...

The legendary post that started the whole score update thing in Pre Season this year,

By Quickstraw

"Yo! Bitches!

Couldn't get 6PR last night on internet so followed the score on here. The most frustrating thing is yo' bitches won't post the score every time it changes. Happens every time. So please, during the match day thread, update the score every time it changes for the benefit of the posters who can't watch or listen to the game and are following it on here."

Followed by

"How about:

If multiple people ask for a score update JUST F***ING UPDATE THE SCORE?

And it's not easy to add shit up because multiple people post about the same goal. How hard is it to say at the end of a post 85 - 68?

ps: it's not just this match, it's every single match. Sometimes posters get stuck in the middle of nowhere and only have a mobile phone. Are you really that selfish you think it's isn't a good idea to update the score every time it changes? Surely you have some sort of empathy for fellow posters who are following the thread to follow the game?"

I was at the scratch match v Freo and he was non too pleased that I wouldn't update the score regularly.

My missus was non too pleased I was constantly on my phone updating the play by play.

My kids were becoming restless because they just anted to run out onto the park (Subiaco Oval)

I told our mate quickstraw to stop being a needy prick from memory.

And now we get scores every game, that are totally irrelevant to the actual score. In true BF/WCE fan style.

0.0.00 - 0.0.00 because **** you.

Only difference is that Carlton aren't in the finals. If Simpson thinks Selwood will help us win a flag he'll play him regardless.

I'd be happy for scooter to play in the premiership this year, then go to Geelong, if that's what has to happen, so be it ;)

Hi guys, doggies supporter here, looking forward to a massive game this weekend!!

Just a question to eagles followers, if you had to pick a match up this week that would most likely decide the contest, which one would it be?
some suggestions we have had are Talia v Kennedy, Nic Nat v Campbell, Lecras v Morris, Stringer v Hurn ( i think) or Wallis v Priddis.

Do you guys see it differently from your side?

Bont vs Yeo early in the match (I hope!)

Doesn't really answer your question, but some keys:
- ability of Kennedy and darling to kick bags
- your ability to expose us on the outside, and with your speedy forwards

True but it's hard to see him making the finals team without at least playing one of the last two rounds.

My feeling (out of my arse) is that it is an amicable breakup with the club and as he is 90 percent fit, they don't want to risk further injury unless something drastic happens list wise.

They've given him a fair shake to make his mark over a number of rounds and it just wasn't happening.

Do you think that your defenders will have to defend 1v1 this week with the loss of your players who would usually come in 3rd man up? I think in a 1v1 aspect in our foward we can get you,
But at the same time, in your foward line, if all of our players are too Kennedy focused i see Darling getting and winning alot of 1v1

Very intriguing match with 2 of probably the most similar teams in the comp

I don't think it will be 1 v 1 - philosophy should remain the same.

Hi Westernheights

The ability for your mids to enable the ball to be delivered into your F50 1v1 is critical.

All year we have denied this so I Can't this changing at home this weekend.

If NN palms the ball to ours mids on the break, your backs will the ones under extreme pressure.

Having said that, your pace on the outside will be telling so we will be doing our best to make to nullify this.

Will be a cracker.

Fletcher Roberts I think may single-handedly tear us apart feather by feather :D

I think the Stringer Vs Hurn if it pans out that way will be important. Hes our Chief Executive of traffic. Stringer is a gun.

Forward line pressure will be huge for both sides. Wood/Murphy/Johannisen are in fine form. Would love to see a few of our forwards get 5+ tackles, lots of pressure acts etc and stop that fast ball movement.

So yeah fwd v back matchups Im most excited about.

Who would be your 3rd man up this week seeing as Mcgovern isnt planning and he has been the king at it this year, ( sorry not too familiar with your other backman as majority are out lol)

If it is Hurn, whoever he plays on Stringer or Redpath, i see them taking him deep to the goalsquare to nullify his influence.
Could you do the same to Wood?

The best thing about being a top 4 side is that all the players breaking into the team through WAFL form will be hungry to keep their spots for finals success.

We have covered our puts to surprise very easily this year.

So Barrass and Sinkers are definite inclusions. You would think McGinnity would be too after playing reasonably well last week. That leaves one spot for Lucas/Nelson.

Just been watching the Round 1 game again and Nelson was pretty good so I think we might go with him and release Rosa? Can't wait 2 hours to find out how wrong I am anyway.

Also tipping Shuey to have an enormous game if the Doggies wanna play a shootout.

Shuey and Kennedy always have big games against the Dogs.

What's the weather like in Perth?

Sheppard and Wellingham. All of our defenders bar Bennell will be playing tall and small. Sheppard has been defending 1 on 1 against players spuds like Jesse White and Vickery this season and doing a pretty good job of it.

I think the whole 'third man up' thing is overstated with us this season. Our backline hasn't just been holding up because we zone off and double team, it's also that guys like Sheppard and Wellingham have been doing outstandingly well aerially against taller opponents. Helps when the delivery I50 isn't lace out too.
