The match committee have shown all season they are likely to play the EMGs before anyone else.

I daresay it will be

In: Lecras / Carter
Out: NN (Sore) / Ellis
Yep, let's drop Naitanui for what is now the most important game of the season. Sounds about right :drunk:.

Where did I say drop him? If he is fit he plays.

However he only just got up after an 8 day break from last week and we have a 6 day turn around and travel coming up.

Out Ellis cox ( sorry big fella )
In collage maginness (sub )
Hutch to tag Heppell , McGinnity to tag Stanton

That's the risk we took getting him over. If he was durable you wouldn't have let him go.

He was an unrestricted free agent so they didn't have much choice ;)

The upside (if there is one) to his AC joint is that it's an impact injury and not a soft tissue, so not really related to his durability issues. Just one of those things in footy.

Was playing reasonably well prior to yesterdays injury. He just can't stay on the park. :(

Out: Ellis ( Inj) Cox ( Rest) Mcginnity
In: Brennan, College, Maginnnes

- Brennan in just to get another showing to see if he is up to it for next year.
- College needs more games. Tunrbridge might get a look in here.
- Mcginnity played horrible and i want to see if Maginnnes get a gig even if it is as a sub.
- Think Lecra will be left out with his calf complaint.

Team:

Bennell Emac Schofield
Butler Brown Hurn

Gaff Priddis Masten

Darling Mcgovern Colledge
Hill Jk Cripps

Ruck: Nic Nat, Shuey, Hutchings

Bench: Lycett, Sheed, Brennan SUb: Maginnnes

It was a courageous act on his behalf. Just really fortunate it was a compact injury and as you said was not related to his pre-existing issues (which I hope are all gone)

An article on Ellis injury said selwood was tracking well for a return soon . If he is not match fit for the midfield maybe he can play as a small lock down defender .

Since we're still in the finals hunt, why the hell would you want to bring guys in just to see if they're up for it?

If you haven't earned a game by this stage, stay out of the side and let those who deserve to play do their best to get us into September.

True but Brennan did play a good game on the weekend in the WAFL.

Frenchy in for Ellis.
If Yeo is ready to go then maybe he can come in for Cox who will probably only play again against Melbourne.
Playing all 3 talls worked ok on the weekend and with Hooker, Carlisle, Ryder, Daniher, Essendon are not exactly struggling for tall's themselves so there is merit in going as unchanged as possible.

If we're going to rest Cox then bring in Tunbridge.

Do we really need McGinnity in the side?

Oh please. Tunbridge has done next to nothing in the game's he's played.

I don't get it with those that think Tunbridge is going to be some sort of star.

That is correct. :D

I think the last time Ellis played a full season was back in 2010. This year X has played 16 games, kicked 7 goals and has done quite well up to this point. I reckon he's exceeded expectations this year. Still only 26 so I do think he has a bit more upside left.

Selwood is better than Mcginnity but we don't need him and certainly not in the midfield. It is miles better without him there. We are now actually growing and developing a midfield, no point going backwards.
The club loves him though so they probably will.
