Ha my mum attempted that during the 2006 GF by hiding in her car. Had to get her out when we won. :D

Haha, I am usually the one hiding too!! I had to walk out of my mates place in both 05 and 06 in the last few minutes. Both times I heard the siren and knew exactly what happened, 05 guttered, 06 just bolted down the street pissed as a fart yelling!

I can't handle the pressure of it all, even though it has no gauge on my actual life, it still means so much!

They have played some spectacular footy after these sorts of things, damn I am worried they will come out breathing fire even more so.

Hard to know how they wil react, maybe they will think this is their last chance for a while to play and achieve something as a group before the whole club is destroyed. On the other hand they might just think f**k it, it's not worth it, we are all screwed anyway......lets hope it's the latter!!

The judge will reserve his decision, the players haven't been particularly involved in the trial anyway. Doubt it'll have much effect on them either way.

Before this game last year, there was speculation all week that Hird would be sacked and the players came out and were woeful. We won by about 10 goals.

What about the earlier game where all week was controversy as Watson admitted to taking a banned substance on national television. They rallied in the last quarter and overran us.

Yeah that's more the one I was thinking of. Late last year they probably would have known that the AFL was going to kick them out of the 8, or at least had a pretty goood idea of what might happen. The earlier one, and this one now are a bit more them trying to stick up for themselves and still push the innocence factor of the players.

I am not confident at all, but then when am I ever:rolleyes:

Ellis will miss obviously. Hopefully lecras is right to come back in

Other than that I don't think there'll be any other changes unless someone else isn't fit enough to play. Means that cox plays and we go with our land of the giants strategy which is unfortunate as despite last weeks win I still don't think it works. Can't see anyone else pushing their way into the side in such an important game

Just reading this thread gave me butterflies.

Very nervous about this game because for some funny reason we are in at a shot at finals if we win. The previous two games we have been amazing so if we play that well again we could very well win.
Yep

ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE GAME!!

Really looking forward to it

No bias. IMO he lacks continuity in his game after all the little injuries he's picked up. He would be behind Tunbridge atm IMO but I wouldn't be unhappy with Colledge in the team.
Yeah - either or really.

I want Tunners to have a break out game

Just hasnt made most of his opportunities so far....

No. Tunbridge can do everything McGinnity can do, but better. He just never gets a full game to prove himself. Purely for the long term I would swap the two of them.

You've obviously been watching someone else , because the Tunbridge on our list hasnt really set the world on fire , yes hes hard at it , yes he gives 100% but he doesnt really have the tank to be a shut down player . His kicking needs to be addressed as he can spray them every where , Macca aint the best but his 100% full game defensive efforts are why hes in the team.

NN might struggle to get up with a short turnaround. If so I don't think we'd replace him with a tall, but probably another midfielder.

Love to see Maggs sneak a game in before the year is out.

Who has McGinnity shut down? How many full games has Tunbridge had in his career? Enough to have written him off? Also, Tunbridge is a 3000% better kick than McGinnity.

For those wondering how the trial would effect the players, I don't think it would at all.

I do expect them to come out fired up after the disappointing loss vs Richmond, but it is how West Coast respond to that that'll determine the winner I reckon. We've struggled against teams that come back from our early leads.

Aside for the games that were pretty much over by quarter time (Sydney X2, Fremantle which were losses and Carlton, Richmond and Collingwood which were wins), the rest of our games have been close (less than 10 points) in the last quarter.
The next biggest win after our 50 point margin vs Richmond is 15 points vs GWS... Even then, they were within a point in the last quarter. The rest of our wins are single digits.
In a lot of those games, we've grabbed an early lead after starting well, only for them to come back and make the rest of the game a close scrap.

So judging from that, it is highly unlikely for this game to be a blowout I reckon. I'm expecting a close, brutal game. The team who wants it more will win.

Oh and hopefully, we'll be waving our red and black scarves after the final siren. I wouldn't mind it if we waved it in the middle of the last quarter like in 2012 ;)

A HUGE game. Winner will play finals I reckon.

Setup for a head ducking spectacular. These pricks are back to their cheating best.

We've been on the receiving end of some shoddy umpiring the last two weeks. We've also had some scoolboy discipline problems. Same old, same old.

Can't see their pea heart midfield winning any contested ball.

The anger is strong in this one.

Nic nat might be a little sore but think he will get rested in the Demons game.
Demons game would be great to showcase the elusive 4 ruck combo in tribute to cox retiring ! We could also bring in McInness to boost the height in our forward line .
