This is how I would like to see our line up this week:
B. McGrath Bryan Thornton
HB. Scotland Whitnall Walker
C. Russell Stevens Simpson
HF. Lappin Kennedy Houlihan*
F. Wiggins Fevola Betts
FOL. French Bentick Murphy
INTER. Bannister McLaren Carrazzo Teague
In: Carrazzo McLaren Bryan
Out: Livingston(never to play for Carlton again) Prendergast Koutoufides(inj)

*Houlihan subject to appeal. Blackwell in if he is out

I'd be very interested to here some Key Forwards you think Chris Bryan would be able to keep in check at AFL level.

Seriously, you need to look past his left foot kicking and actually watch how he plays a game of footy. The guy is very lazy, hardly wins a hit out and is not a backman's ar*ehole.

He is a back up Ruckman at best at AFL level.

Russell didn't show enough on the weekend to justify a recall?

Firstly, Russell is in the side (played against WC and did well) and hense should not and probably will not get dropped.

This is going to sound strange, but I think Russell will perform better in the AFL than in the VFL. He seems to look more comfortable with quality players around him and on a higher standard of game.

Actually, I believe the same thing. He did enough against West Coast to warrant another game, if he did get dropped - if I was Jordan Russell - I wouldn't be a happy camper.

Out... Livingston, Bannister, Prendergast, Teague and Koutoufides

(Sporn in for Houlihan, if need be.)

Perhaps our best effort for the year almost beating west coast in subi, not sure if we should make so many changes although kouta injured and blackwell, carrazzo should come in.

In Carrazzo, Blackwell

Out kouta, one of prenda, livo, teague, give bannister another run.

Bad news is Josh kennedy has been ruled out with a knee injury, nothin too serious though just the one week. he was keen to play but doc ruled him out.

The Satistician Bucky on SEN had Carrazzo down for 32 touches.

Nevertheless, disregarding the exact amount of touches he got, he played VERY well and should play on Friday night for the Blues.

Do you have a link or a source?

If true, that is really unfortunate. Josh played magnificently and would have been a monty for selection. Then I would say Bryan in for Kennedy. I wouldn't be sursrised at all to see Livo stay in to play on Thompson.

I can back this up as well. I over heard Josh talking to supporter a tonight and the supporter left by saying I hope it gets better sooner rather than later. I put it down to his knee injury.

If your info is accurate, it's bad luck for Josh and Carlton. He was just starting to find confidence and was gaining a bit of form in the Bullies, by taking some great contested marks and kicking a few goals as we all know he is capable of, and this happens. But, if the medical staff rule him out, it is better to be safe than sorry IMO.

Sounds reliable. :o

Apparantly he came back on during the game when he went down injured. It was someone else stepping on his ankle and he was fine.

Maybe he was talking about someone esles knee injury :)

Reading Jim Wilsons article in Herald Sun yesterday "Blues Present Hope For Future" he mentions towards the end about JK.

The baby Blues again impressed in the VFL last weekend, with Josh Kennedy kicking five goals before being forced off with a knee injury. Andrew Carrazzo picked up 40 touches and Luke Blackwell 30.

Although watched the game and JK did say after it was his ankle not his knee???

So either Jim just saw the game and not the aftermath or he knows a bit more... as Jim is a Carlton fan.

GO BLUES

JK hurt an ankle early in the game, but came back on. He hurt his knee landing awkwardly after a marking contest during the last quarter. He came off and got some attention then, not returning to the field.

He was limping after the game, but didn't seemed too distressed. I dare say a week off as a precaution.

With JK being unavailable, is there any chance Hartlett could play.

I no it would be rushing him back from injury, but ive heard that he's been training really well lately.

I don't think they would name Kennedy unless he was a BIG chance to play.

He will be there, he will start on the ground and what we want is some strong grabs and a goal or two nice and early, that way Pagan can't bring him off.

If he can take a grab and kick a goal in the first 5 minutes, we could be in for something very good tomorrow night.
