Leigh Brown to be the back up ruckman to Jolly with Dawes as a third back up, if required.

Didak will replace Medhurst, Dick having already secured his forward spot.

Ball coming in, at the expense of Macaffer, with Lockyer taking Medhurst's spot, and Ball replacing Macaffer around the ground.

* Johnson is a straight spot for Barham, if fully fit.

**If Maxwell is injuried, obviously Goldsack comes in.

I'm happy to let Jolly ruck on his own, maybe it will light a fire under his arse. Fraser is worse than useless, Wood not far behind, so let Jolly do it alone and he will rise to the occasion. He makes way for a midfielder [Didak], to give us some more pace and heart. If necessary, Dawes can go into the ruck. I have no evidence or reason as to why he can do this, but it can't be worse than Fraser.

I also think Brown doesn't improve us much, and he makes way for Dawes. A better target up forward, and is a beautiful set shot. I know Dawes didn't set the world on fire in his last few games, so it's not short memory, it's just that he is a better option than Brown, and he will straighten us up again.

Barham makes way for Ball, obvious swap.

Johnson could come in for Macaffer too, doesn't bother me.

Both Lockyer and Dick have secured they're position in the team. IMO Fraser will be either retired or running from the mob of angry Collingwood supporters by the time of the Sydney game. Over the break we seriously got to work on our kicking skills, 22 behinds just isn't acceptable and just can't happen if we are to stand a chance in the Finals. Also forward structure needs a revamp.

Some changes seem a bit odd but Fraser needs to go back to the magoos and give Leigh a crack in the ruck least he will give 100% effort week in week out.
The barham experiment didn't work and needs to go for Ball and Didak. Macaffer is interesting isn't playing badly but isn't playing well, i think others would offer a little more. BJ has to come in for Tooves, yes i may be over reacting after one game but the boundary line stategy does not work for tooves, kicks alot out on the full. Goldy in for the injured Maxwell seems a reasonable swap.

There is no way we can consider Lachlan Keefe yet (unless you're suggesting we get Ryan O'Keefe before the Syd game!). He is good, but making it to most VFL games this year, Keefe is going well but not a better than Cam Wood or Josh Fraser.

Goldsack looked good in VFL on Sat and would be a decent in for Maxwell.

There is always calls for Macaffer to be dropped but I think he is travelling quite well.

Jack Anthony played well in VFL after a shocker the week before. Would be good to see Ben Johnson back in the side too, hard to know who to drop.

Was good to have Lockyer back and Dick played better today than he did VFL on Sat!

Why Toovey? He was far from our worst player and Johnson is not a substitute for him. If our forwards kicked straighter and our mids won the ball, we wouldn't have to worry about Toovey's blemishes.
