Flog? Why, good sir, I do beg to differ!

A few people were annoyed that we gave up 28 instead of 31 (not sure on actual numbers), everyone was stoked we got him.
To be fair I can recall a number saying they didn't rate him. I specifically recall an individual (who still fancies himself as a bit of a youngster expert around here) saying he was nothing more then middle of the road and both Newman and McInnes were better, which is why we passed on Yeo in the first place.
Still we all make mistakes, particularly with assessing young kids.

Sooo I assume Barrass will be a late out for EP tomorrow?
We should give him 2 quarters only.

Time for Tom Barrass to be given a chance. His EP form warrants it and the team now needs him. Go on Adam, we know you want to. And McInness isn't the answer in defence.

Out: McGovern (inj.)

I think Barrass coming in as a replacement for The Gov is more likely than McInnes. If X is suspended, I'd see him being replaced by Nelson or, less likely, Rosa. Happy for the side to remain unchanged if the Gov gets up, though. I think we finally have our best 22 on the park (Ezy and Brown excluded, of course) with Sinclair edging out Lycett simply on workrate.

Scoots to stay in the side. While he is detrimental at the moment, he needs time on the ground to adjust to Simmo's gameplan and find some form/fitness, although he should be low on the list of midfield rotations. I'd rather see Priddis, Duggan, Yeo, Sheed, Cripps and LeCras running through there over Scooter at the moment. When Scooter is on the ball, throw Priddis forward. We don't need both plodding through the midfield at the same time.

Also not understanding the calls to "rest" players one game before the bye. A couple of the boys do look like they needs a rest, but what's the point of dropping them the week before they all get a free week off?

Wouldn't mind if Fmac replaces Gov, but can't really see it happening, don't think Simmo sees him as a defensive option at AFL level, I reckon that he's not playing tomorrow as injury cover for JJK and Darls. Even if Gov is passed fit to play, really don't want to risk him, he seems to have injury concerns every other week. If only our bye was next week...

Ebert still can't kick. We don't miss him as much as some make out.

Pretty much. He's playing the exact same role that gaff does for us, maybe leaning inside more than gaff but not as much these days.

He's a very good midfielder, but he isn't the inside midfielder (edit) we all hoped he'd be when he was with us.

If Barrass plays, when was the last time we played so many debutants in the one year?

Lamb
Nelson
McInnis
Duggan
Barrass

Anyone else?

87 we had a lot of guys debuting ;)
