I think the fact that there is one 300 gamer between the two football clubs that travel the furthest, year in and year out, is pretty good evidence.

The week started in pretty good spirit but these Tiger flogs are proving themselves neither humourous or insightful at this point. Move on and find something else to bash us for. Masto's hipster failings, Pridda's Bradbury brownlow...there is plenty of decent material to work with.
far to many general comments from people who travel for work etc - tigers don't have jobs

Why would you be surprised they haven't changed what they've been doing all season?

Not surprised really, was expecting it, but it just seems a little silly, Tigers are favourites, so be it, AFL site has written the article, just stick with their prediction. It just sticks with the general feel of the Eagles social media stuff this year "yay, we're the best, eagles rule" type stuff, just seems juvenile.

@adampaps: 23 on the plane for west coast. No Sam Butler. Eagles must be confident on McGovern. Rosa and Nelson into the squad

Would think Nelson in for Butler. Rosa coming off a five-day break after playing for East Perth so could just be travelling to see family etc in Victoria over the bye.

You'd think Nelson for Butler. And maybe they decided to play Rosa in defense of Gov doesn't get up. Gov should get up though.

If Rosa pulled up well they could be tempted to make him sub. Experienced hard runner that could really make an impact late in the game. Not sure who they would drop though...

McGovern is at the airport

no barrass? gee mcgovern must be better than he seemed
Hopefully it's one of those corks that is better after a nice ice bath & rest.

Or McGovern is confident he can play with the pain- he seems to have a pretty good pain tolerance.

Shame about butler, but at this stage in his career & with the bye coming up it wouldn't be a surprise if we kept him out to freshen him up for the rest of the year. He's been terrific for us. Ellis isn't a bad replacement in that role, and either nelson or rosa can play a role down back.

Does anyone think that we will play yeo down back this week if only to stop Deledio? He has been playing forward this year and he's their barometer. He plays well, they win, more often than not.

Or would we back in our current back 6?

Would prefer to put Selwood on him, sets Selwood the challenge as a stopper and gets him out of the midfield.
