Varcoe with 5 touches and zero impact again, not sure we can continue to carry him against West Coast.
I found Varcoe very dependable when the ball came the other way. Doesn't get a lot of it but every single time disposes of the ball efficiently and to our advantage one way or another.
Dependable. He'll rip it up against the Weagles.

I'm not bagging him but can someone tell me what Aish's role is? I've only seen bits and pieces of last week and tonight's games so haven't been able to figure it out. Is he like a defensive mid? Wing?
I don't think he's a bad player but I think there are others who can do his role better.

Maybe Coxy might have a week off for an off the ball bump. Knowing our luck what was a fine last week will be a week off now. If he does get a rest not sure who will come in, maybe Goldsack but we have no big key forwards to bring in.

In Buckley’s post match press conference he was talking about our “back 7” and stated that Aish was another half back flank-winger.

Varcoe lowest on the entire ground for metres gained for his team for 2 weeks in a row... But of course not a single person even questions Varcoe because he laid... 3 tackles.

Must be amazing to get a ride this free.

I’d have Sier in for Varcoe, but there seems to be a more macro reason why he hasn’t been selected and he doesn’t appear to have demanded his selection with his VFL/praccy match performances.

Sier in if we can.

But other than that, so much prefer Greenwood than say Brown. Just a nasty beast is Greenwood (a really nice nasty).

In: Sier
Out: Varcoe

Not quite true, I said he was worst on ground last week, and again this week he was very ordinary.
Having said that I still wouldn't drop him...yet.
But he really needs to get a bit of mojo back.
