Every one says every year how little interstate travel Collingwood has to undergo.
Well here we go again. If you guys don't like to travel, then join the VFL, but Ballarat and Bendigo maybe too far you, let alone Tassie.

ohhhh poor beejw1 mligee

Get over it. We don't argue a draw. Everyone wants to play infront of crowds and the MCG is the place for that. We travel to 4 states. We don't have any negotiations or anything because other clubs want to play us at the G infront of massive crowds.

Face it. You play 13-14 games in NSW/ACT, and to some people that might seem like a joke.

Will certainly be buying a membership this year. Will actually be able to get to quite a few of those games. Woohoo!

It's not Collingwood's fault. If you don't like it blame the AFL administration.

Not a bad draw for us.Although the only reservation i have is that depending on whether we will be plying for a top 4 possie or top 8 possie
the last few games we play are not going to be easy, even though we play in melbourne......Could stuff us up?

Maybe the fact that we average 20 odd thousand people a home game more than many other clubs! Why send us to play interstate 5 or 6 times and draw 25 thousand when we can draw 50+ here in Melbourne. Besides, as Eddie keeps saying everyclub in the AFL request to play Collingwood twice! For obvious finincial reasons.

You don’t understand the meaning of the word charmed.
Who says we don’t like travel?
If we don’t like travel we don’t need to join anything. We seem to do ok at avoiding it where we are.
Sydney get their guaranteed Collingwood blockbuster why not North etc?
I’d swap it all for a big fat salary cap allowance.

The real key to the draw is who you play twice. In Collingwood's case its Essendon Brisbane Carlton Richmond Melbourne Sydney and Adelaide. Thats three finalists including the Grand Finalist and previous premier, one mid team, and three crap teams.

A pretty even mix.

Our draw is pretty much fair. We travel once less than perhaps we should, but thats because other teams cant afford to not play us.

It's a myth that we don't travel well.

2006: lost to WC by 2 goals, defeated Sydney, lost to Adelaide by 4, defeated Port

2005: lost all 4 away, including 1 point loss to Sydney

2004: lost 3, defeated Freo

2003: Defeated Adelaide and Sydney, lost to Bris and Port

2002: Narrow losses to Port and Freo, flogged by WC, wins over Adel and Port (final)

2001: Won all 4 away games; Port, Adel, Freo, NM (Canberra)

2000: Defeated Sydney, lost to Bris, Port, Adel

Since 2000, we have played 27 away games, winning 12 (44.4%)

We don't mind travelling. It's the AFL that wants us to stay at home and make them money.

We don't have a president dumb enough to trade three aces in for three Tasmanian jokers!

At least the Hawks have a president who lives in Victoria, and one who has in all capacities pumped up everything Victorian for years, unlike your prez who lives in NSW and at the first sign of a dollar coming out of his own deep pocket has started pumping up the rugby league.

But unlike Jeff, Eddie doesn't have to worry about looking after his team, he's got the AFL to do it for him.

Collingwood has about 5 games a year with a home ground advantage , sydney has 14 plus a dirty great salary cap allowance

Sydney has by far and away the greater advantage and should be ambarrassed every year that it does not make top 2

PS: Barry is a spoilt child who only likes hearing how good good he is - he choked - sucked in
