This post is predominantly being written in jest, but behind that, there is an element of seriousness to my question.

My club's supporters have been bashed over the head with this accusation for some time now, so when considering the Ben Cousins case, I ask, IF he has been abusing amphetamines, would this constitute being a drug cheat.

One thing I noticed about Ice users is increased aggressive behaviour and a willingness to be more physically aggressive, even when the drug is not detectable in their system. In contact sport this no doubt gives an advantage.

So my question is, IF the WCE are rife with drug use, would this constitute them as being drug cheats and if so, would they be considered to have cheated their way to a flag?

Most definately, There should be a public flogging or stoning arranged.
Everyone offended by this cheating gets a go with the whip or gets to throw a rock at the Eagles player of your choice.

Does this mean we're stripping the Blues of their pre-season premiership under the same guidelines?

More sense than this tripe:p Donkey Kong:D

 You're not making any sense fly boy.

In other words if your going to strip teams because they have players within their team on the gear, then there wouldnt be a team in the AFL who would be eligible for the flag at the moment, Carlton especially ;)

Laughable !!!!!
Especially coming from the salary cap cheats.

Makes it more amazing that a bunch of strung-out druggies won the premiership.

I don't know if they were strung-out though. You can be a heavy user, regular user, occasional user or non-user of a drug.

IF WCE are regular or occasional users, I'm sure they could function well enough to perform as sportsmen. It may assist in keeping body fat down and as I mentioned before, assisting in competitiveness of a physical nature. IF they are heavy users, then you may have a point.

Nonetheless, the question is there to be asked.

The other question is why are people so stupid to think it doesn't happen at their club? West Coast have become the "poster boys" of drugs in the AFL so to speak but only a naive fool would think its only happening at the one club and not all of them

This is my point exactly. Carlton are 'cheats' because we recompensed a few players outside the salary cap, players who wouldn't have been going anywhere even if we didn't pay extra. In physical terms, off-paper and on-feild, it really had no impact. Yet still we are dubbed cheats.

Your mob on the other hand, has been accused and virtually admitted that its players have been abusing illicit substances. It is quite plausible that these substances have had a real on-feild impact.

Hardly a laughing matter in my book.

Same can be said of cheating the salary cap. No doubt Carlton weren't the only club doing this, but were made the 'poster boy' for this as well. It's no sectret the AFL wanted to make an example out of us, so as to deter the other clubs doing it from continuing the practice.

This is what I have been TRYING TO SSAY.

and support me ppl!!!

The only reason we can't strip Fremantle of winning anything, due to their players who are on the gear is down to one small detail...

THEY HAVEN'T WON ANYTHING

Actually my bad thats not true, we could strip Fremantle of their greatest accomplishment, the London Cup.... Actually no one second thoughts Fremantle can keep it, i don't think the AFL would want that useless spittoon back :D

Carlton weren't the only salary cap cheats that is correct. Essendon and other teams in the 90's also had breaches.

However they are the only team thats been caught breaching it on more then one occasion thus far, well as proven anyway. As you said there could be other repeat offenders out there which havent been proven yet.

As far as I am aware, Carlton were only 'caught' on one occaision. We had breached before, but this was declared by the club, as it was by other clubs as well. Please provide some hard evidence of your claims, because I am sure if you look, you'll only find speculation.

The point still remains, the on-field results of drugs are far more tangible than paying a guy some extra cash.
