Cheer Squad thread

Given how I said I would appreciate feedback on how the Cheer Squad looks this season, I felt it better to start a new thread than continue in the one already going about how do we get the club To act on the Cheer Squad. (mods please delete if this is viewed as unnecessary).

Looking forward to hearing what people think on match day in terms of appearance, flag placement, noise, presence and overall presentation of the squad.

Positive or Negative please be respectful and constructive in your responses.

Am hoping that crowd participation will be a big improver for the Saints after the Riewoldt 300th match if the soccer style chant is successful

Hoping that brings a new era of cheering for our cheer squad with a greater sophistication and a greater interaction by the crowd in general

Was a hard night on the field, I felt the squad was up and down last night, I lost my voice at quarter time from chanting hard. I was pleased with my new flag and how it looked.

thought the Tottenham Hotspur / elongated OH WHEN THE SAIIIIINTS chant at the beginning of the game worked really well.

Agree but too much recorded singing and not enough live but it was the first time. It will get better as the weeks go by and it will be awesome by the time we are back playing finals at the 'G.

Sounded great. They kept going though after the siren but I think at least half of us stopped and started cheering

I think they need to scrap the Knock, Knock part... and time it so that it ends just before the siren...

otherwise it was great and will surely build..

It was a bit choppy at the start as people around us didn't know what was going on except for probably me lol, but as it continued the fans got into it...overall I thought it was well done for a first go.

I agree with GJD23. Thought the coin toss chant grew and will only get stronger. It was a hard night for the cheer squad but you fought it out! Great job on the run-through banner too - although I can only remember seeing one side of it?

I didn't attend the game, not sure exactly what happened but it was dealt with quick

Anyone shed any light on this?

The person was not a cheer squad member, I have found out more information and am personally disappointed that the comments were made not just to the opposition players but also to our own supporters.

If they are homophobic comments they shouldn't be made to anyone...

So the person evicted was in the CS area but not actually a member?
