It was him and Steinfort and they were epic!
I'm not sure if true but I remember hearing they were told to shave them off as they were beginning to look ridiculous.

It was awesome, I also liked Dreadlocked O'bree as well.

Thanks to Shane for doing his best every time he pulled on the Collingwood jumper. For the rest of his life he will have been a Collingwood player.

I always loved O'Bree as a player. He was another player that was unfairly maligned for much of his career. I think a lot of supporters just "didn't get him" as a player. He fed of his ability to read the play and find the ball in congestion - a bit like Pendles but without the grace. Being an inside midfielder that wasn't your bull at the gate type as well as his sometimes poor disposal had him painted with an unfair brush I felt. But he always always did his part and held down a pretty tough possie on the field with a lot dignity his entire career. He worked his arse off, did all the little things and was a favourite of mine. I think his game really went down hill the last two years and people may unfortunately remember that more than when he was in his heyday in the early 00's. He was quality back then and I think underrated. All the best Cheesey
