what a hectic day. ******* hectic day was out there for about 12 hours got withing 50-100 meters of our last check point before we hit the lets get out of here button. freaking scary stuff watching the fire coming straight for you. luckily most of my friends houses were spared but a few werent so lucky.
just before we left there was 3 fire truck parked on the main road into jindivick with it being declared as the last stand before they let it burn the rest of the way to neerim south.
Was a surreal experince hitching rides on fire trucks and helping them to rig up hose lines and set up pumps etc. dunno how its going at the moment but hopeully its all ok
At one stage we had 3 fire fronts coming at us from the north south and west was scary shit but luckily we are all still alive and ready to fight again tomorrow if we have to.
here are some pics i took when things werent threating my life.
