Does he have a future at the club? As I did not get to watch any VFL (seems Mick does not rate him anymore) I do not know how he performed this year, although I believe he often played as a key forward.
I have seen him play up forward on occasion, and he has done alright - big body, good mark, decent set shot, big heart.
Anyone else think he could play a FF roll, and rotate through the ruck when needed and handle the rucking duties inside the forward 50? I think not having a big target hurt us this year - no bailout if the smalls were not finding space to present.
Anyone agree with this, or am I way off?

Not up to AFL standard, another hack on our list

I thought he should have been given a shot up foward during the year when Cloke was having one of his poor five week runs of form. I'm big fan of the Bear, its a pity the coaching staff are'nt, I don't think he'll be around next year.

Sorry a complete SPUD:eek: Will be delisted I think at year end

Was serviceable for a couple of seasons but with Fraser, Wood and Leigh Brown handling ruck duties he no longer has a role to play. Would expect him to be dispensed with at seasons end.

Very slow, very poor decision making & ordinary disposal. On the upside, he has a booming (but inaccurate) kick & has the mongrel in him. His shortcomings are far too easily exposed at AFL level & will almost certainly be de-listed at the end of this year.

Bear belongs in the VFL. He'll be delisted from the seniors but can see him being kept on and play in the 2's where he should have a good career.

I don't get to see much (if any) VFL living in South Australia, but Bryan just seems like the type that would be good in the 2's due to his size and strength, but (from what I've observed of him at AFL level) doesn't quite have the tools to get a permanent spot in the seniors.

Still, he deserves to be retained in the VFL side, if only because he's looks like Chopper Read :p
