Where is C.Johnson at in terms of his place in the melbourne team, see him currently playing on the wing, he seems to be still finding his feet, I have always admired his attack on the game and thought he would be a handy small defender at Essendon as that is realy the one thing essendon lack at the moment. What would Melbourne want for him:

Bare in mind our first 3 picks we wont be giving up,

Laycock tasty, Dyson maybe, just throwing some names up their.

"Laycock Tasty"? what are you getting at

Whilst I'm not 100% sure CJ will ever make it, I'm confident he is a much better footballer than Dyson, he is rubbish, and we have our own version of Dyson in Buckley. I really don't think Essendon would want CJ, and I'm not sure if we would want any of your similarly talented players.

i can't see us trading Chris... as you said your first 3 picks are off the table, and I'd want at least a 3rd round pick for CJ... you haven't offered anything decent in terms of players...

unlike a lot of others I think he'll make it and be a pretty good player for the MFC... our new style under bailey suits him well, with his dash and skill in the backline...

he's just starting to come good, so his trade value won't be equitable to what his output in the future will be...

His emergence is just another nail in the coffin for Wheel's career:( That is unless of course he remains injury free for the rest of his days and Bell is confined to the magoos

I wouldn't go for either of the two you mentioned. In addition, if the first 3 picks aren't available, I'm not sure what else you can offer.

In any case, I think he'll stay on, providing he can continue to show some more of that poise and finesse from defence.

In a trade, we wouldn't get more than an average player for him or a very very bad pick. He really isn't worth that much. A running defender who barely finds the pill and has a decent kick? Not exactly a #1 priority for most teams.

He has half a year to cement a spot in the side or most likely get delisted or best case scenario be a trade sweetner.

Well 1 out of 33, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Great game from the young fella today I thought, on the back of that I'd say keep him.

Two great games ina row. The kid can play. Lovely disposal although twice he got smothered. But he aint jesus. He'll be an important player in our future. Has his old mans dash.

Take a bow Bartram_Class, has been calling for his inclusion for a while despite popular opinion.

Played out of his skin today and had to blink twice when I saw him in the top 5 ranking points on the Gameday window!

straight swap, Laycock -> C.Johnson and where talking. Done.....?

Might have to revise that trade. With the way things are going the last thing we're going to need for next year is another ruckman (which isn't necessarily a bad thing)

How highly do Essendon fans rate Nash?

Is a solid player, has good foot skills but his pace is lacking sometimes, is a smooth mover but is found wanting in our back half at times and I think is being used in the wrong position personally, what do you propose, Nash + 4th rounder for C.Johnson

CJs a definately keeper, the blokes flying, a pacey left footer who knows where the ball is..

In terms of Essendon players I would trade with him would be Jetta or Winderlich, both pacey types who would suit our side..

But more than happy with him atm, we have Bode to offload, perhaps the injury prone Rivers aswell..

i wouldnt mind giving up winderlich, he has alot of potential, but has alot of playerrs in front of him to regain his pot in the senior team. Clean Heels, straight swap for Johnson -> Wionderlich, or would you like something else. Lookig at his stats he is improving every week and will look like becoming a key member in your midfield in years to come, can win a hardball and has good ball skills. so maybe we need to off load something more invalue for him, maybe that winderlich deal is possible.
