Not a fan at all
Injury prone, couldn't run out of sight on a dark night and DOES NOT LIKE the hard stuff only positive is his size and kicking skills. Doubt he will have an impact next year.
You are so wrong my friend. If, and it is a huge if, he can stay injury free, he will have a huge impact. He can kick straight for starters and he knows how to find the footy, especially as a HFF. Will kick a lot of goals, and I was just starting to jump on his wagon last season when he sadly got that very unlucky injury.

Past injuries are not always an accurate predictor of future injuries.

Could have 5 years of injury-free football. In that case, he'll be a good player with better leadership after a year if teaching and learning.

well I will back my judgment to say he will be just ok if he can stay injury free. He couldn't get a game at Adelaide when he was playing well in sanfl because he is average, if we get Lennon he takes his spot, arnot and mcdonut and others coming through, gonna be hard for him. I hope he does prove me wrong I want us to be the best and if he helps us do it the he's in the side.

Dunno. Not sure. He's played 100 games and kicked 70 goals. He had ONE season where he kicked 43 goals - that was back in 2009. Previous to that, he was primarily a mid, but couldn't hold a spot in Adelaide's main rotation. After that, he didn't do much in the next 3 years. (21 goals in 31 games).

I know, injuries etc. The fact is we took a punt on a depth player who we hope can come good and fill a particular spot - 3rd-5th forward. If he can do the job, good.

I doubt he's going to make a huge difference one way or the other.

If he is fully fit he is easily in our best 22 sitting on the half forward. Talk of Lennon replacing him if drafted is far fetched. I highly doubt a 17/18 yr old will walk into his spot when Knights at his best can have 25 and snag 3 or 4.

Gone are the days where our first rounder is a walkup imo.

What I look at is how he was playing before he was injured. easily best 22. Added a lot to our team. He was recruited, like our other mature aged recruits, to fill a certain role. He did that very well. Then got a weird injury. If he stays fit he is a big in to the team. Adds to our midfield and forward line. If he stays fit then we essentially get one more good B grader. That helps our depth a lot gien where he plays.

Not a star, but a useful addition to our team.

Your last line sums it up. Huge if. Not sure we can rely on him tbh. Whatever we get from him is a bonus.

I agree with the doubt about Knights' fitness. He has been injury-prone.

Indulging the "If"...

I reckon what Knights brings IF he is up and going really fills a hole.

I’m not being critical of S. Edwards and King, who do what they do across HF well, but neither plucks more than the occasional mark. And King doesn’t go through the mid-field.

I wouldn’t build a game plan around Knights, but if he gets back to the form he was in the very moment he slotted a goal while his patella jump sideways, our forward line is gunna be difficult to match up.

The good thing with Knights is we don't need him to have a strong side but if he comes on and stays injury free, he will be a huge bonus to have.

I think I watched a video of him about how his recovery was going a while back and he mentioned he was helping the development coaches or watching footage (something along those lines) to stay involved around the club and help out his team mates. Great idea by him and the club to make him still feel like part of the set up :thumbsu:
