Sorry to invade your Board guys.
But, I would like to know your opinions on Chris Knights.
I have heard he has had a great year in the SANFL, but would he be a regular player for the CROWS in 2006?

Absalutely - is a ball magnet and would be surprised (baring injury) if he doesn't play at least 12 games in 2006

Thanks guys.
Been very impressed with Rutten.
He can match it with any Full Forward. Did a great job on Treadrea the other week.

I just get the feeling that Chris is grateful for the opportunity we gave him and I am sure he will stick around for a long time. If he does decide to head back to victoria its likely to be in 6-7 years time.

You don't want to put pressure on him, but this kid is very exciting. I watched him closely of late and he is defintaley not a receiver. Not afraid to go in and get the hardball when required. Reads the play beautifully and should be in our first 22 by round 4 in 2006. I think he has been the Eagles best player on about 3-4 occasions in the last month, second to Watts last Saturday. It's also very encouraging that he has performed exceptionally under finals pressure.

tredrea is very overrated, dont go by ruttens performance on him. i prefer someone like hall or Gehrig.

I can't see him going back to Vic any time soon. If he did in the next 6, 7 years like you said. But who knows? Maybe a future, future captain?

Hmmm, i hope we arent over rating him too much...

Seen him play many of games this year at the Eagles and has played really good footy, BUT did get his chance on the main stage and didnt do much at all..

Ladhams absolutely dominates SANFL level and cant make the next step up.. Jeremy Clayton has dominated VFL for years, and this year dominated SANFL, i really dont think we can put pressure on him until he strings together a few good AFL games..

This is a kid with real character. No pre-season at all but just grabs every opportunity with both hands.

Has shone in the finals which is the trademark of very good players.

He could be anything once he has a few pre-seasons under his belt and some experience at AFL level.

He must be played right from the word go next year.

i agree i think ppl are slipping out the gun tag a bit quick. From what i've seen he is a ball magnet, but you wouldnt want to be on the end of his finger breaking mongrel kicks thats for sure. Thats a weakness that if not corrected will keep him as one of those matty bode types. Dont think he kicks around the bode like matty at every opportunity though so that can only be a positive. And hes 18 so hes got plenty of time to work on it.

agreed, dont think that i was criticising rutten, his last half of the yr has been fantastic. Its warren i am worried about :)

dont worry about warren - he can always play as a goal kicking wingman :D
- but i think even the birdman might me too quick for him there too

however the gimp still has his movie career to fall back on - Pulp Fiction 2 if they make it :)

HIs disposal is all that needs to be worked on. Sometimes he put the ball lace out to the forwards, other times he sprayed them. Just needs more time pre season kicking practice.

I hope your right...we can't keep afford to keep losing these promising young fellows. Chris WILL be a fantastic player and I hope its at the Crows!

Have you guys ever thought, that with his knee problems(both of them) that practising kicking is probably the worst thing he could do.Until this problem clears up in his knees his disposal will be a bit sloppy, trust me i had it.

That's a good point you've made.

Knights had no pre-season at all for that very reason. Ices up his knees after each game.

At what age did your tendonitis of the knees go, and did it just go naturally?
