How can we get him? I dont think we will play finals but at the same time i dont think our pick will be good enough to get us him. I think we will need a top 4 pick to pick the boy up and he has got to be our number one priority this next off-season.

What the bet we finish 9th. Biggest dud position ever. No finals, but a shit pick. I'd rather finish 15th.

I don't like it.
Trading massive known potential plus a high pick for unknown possible potential (assuming you can get Masten).

Having said that, Richmond would be a good fit for Murphy as Richo is on his last legs and they seem to dislike Jay Schultz

What about if we offered this to Richmond??

Murphy, 1st & 2nd Round Pick.
Coughlan and 1st Round Pick (presumably #1).

Edit: i think we might want a 3rd roudner aswell because of the question mark over Coughlan.
 
Your kidding if you think Richmond will part with their best midfielder and 1st pick in the draft.

I'm not so sure.......... look at Shaun McManus.

The thing is we dont need to number 1 pick i think we are better off getting probably 3.
Cos i dont think Masten is as good as Cotchin and the other big guy (name escapes me) so if we can get the number 3 pick we should be ok. So we would need to work with Melbourne or Carlton probably.
 
isn't it likely that carlton will have the number one pick, or is that only if they win less than four games for the season. i think that a dramatic midfield shake up is needed, hard questions need to be asked, eg do we have room for Haselby and Josh Carr in the same side. Our midfields disposal and speed is questionable at best, it really needs an injection of pace, class and skill. Walker, Shauny Mac(god love him), & matt carr need to go to make room for young midfielders and we need to do just about whatever it takes to get the early draft picks to make this happen. Players like crowley are ok as depth players but not good enough for first pick starting midfielders. Jury is still out on peaker simply because of his disposal, but i'm hopeful that that can improve (ala daniel Kerr) because he seems to have the pace and football brain to be an excellent player, looking forward to seeing schammers return and seeif his disposal has improved hopefully he's up on confidence after good performances in the wafl.

Not a chance, he would be top 6 in our B&F at the moment. Behind Pav, Bell, Hase, Grover and Sandi.


Carlton if they win 5 games of more dont get the priority pick which means the draft runs as usual i think.

Why do people still insist on picking on Headland? I dead set think your blind or don't know much about footy, matchups, tagging etc!

Yeah its a bit sad that it only takes 8 games to poll as many votes as it takes Des to do in 12!
