Howdy Docker fans i was just wanting to get some of your input on Chris Mayne, i think you have snaged a very good young player, but i just wanted to know does he have the potential to fill out a full forward spot or is he more of a third tall would be very handy if he could take control of that spot and hence send mcpharlin back to defence.

He is very lively, his defensive pressure is a real feature.
Very good leader for his age and very accurate.

And he's a real mongrel!

He's probably neither a full forward or a third tall, he plays off the half-forward line and is a defensive forward in there for his physical pressure. If he does push closer to goal it will be in the pocket rather than as a leading forward. As he grows I feel that he is only going to get more physical, taking over from Solomon but being more potent in front of goal. Definitely a weapon

there's a DT thread for this sort of stuff..........

You shouldn't have any more than one team. :o
i dont, but you tend to have a soft spot for a certain team when a relative of yours gets drafted to that team

make no mistake carlton are my number 1
but i do like the dockers and watch each week

If your relative is still on the list, you may do well to contact him about Chopper.
Instead of asking a bunch of faceless, and in the main, uninformed, (in an inside info from the club sense), posters.
Or is Mayne your relative and you are pumping up his tyres?
If that's the case, there is no need. WE LOVE HIM!
Personally, I have a very big man crush* for the chop chop.

*only slightly homo.

He has the potential to be an absolute gun forward in the mould of Modra, (not as many goals though) but height and stature
