If Armfield had just 1% of Yarran's nous and skill to complement his speed and hardness, he'd be a serviceable player. Yarran is now the general down back. Has the ability to be better than Christou and McKay as a half back. Good times ahead once Watson brings his super boot and reading of the play to the backline. And Laidler's development takes another step.

His confident and, yes, arrogant, swagger is freakin' awesome.

Numerous times he made a mockery of the traffic he was in by just running out of trouble between bewildered opponents. There was one example where Nick Riewoldt (a large and fast man) was chasing him whilst Yarran was back-tracking, sideways, bouncing the ball, and looking up the field telling the incompetent idiots in our forward line where to lead. Then he hit the target on his left. Freakin' gold.

He is a jet. A weapon. There's no reason whatsoever not to be extraordinarily excited about this young man. A lot of naysayers and opposition fans yucking it up over Yarran must be stuffing their face with humble pie about now.

Regardless of whether he's *the* best or not (Martin is unreal), you can't have that conversation without mentioning Yarran I don't think. SUPER excited about his move down back. He's gonna be part of that backline for 10 years, maybe more. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Easily the most most TALENTED at Carlton by a long, long, long, long, long, long way.

Has so much confidence in his speed and flair.

I think he provides a ton of confidence to our back line as well, they know that when he has the ball in his had coming off the backline something is going to happen.

Loved to see them start looking for him now as well, he is settling now very sexily into the back half.
