If only most of them could. Now if only he could kick it to Freo players.
This is also a good point. I still do not rate Pearce's kicking one bit. He tends to either miss the target or hang it up for a player to get killed. If only most of them could.
All bar about three are shit at hitting targets with any regularity. This is also a good point. I still do not rate Pearce's kicking one bit. He tends to either miss the target or hang it up for a player to get killed.
Typical Freo supporter mentality: player must be extremely talented to have an impact at AFL level.
There are plenty of players at other clubs that make it through sheer hard work, commitment and determination. There is no reason why Clancee, at 21 years of age, cannot be a regular fixture at AFL level.
If we had never seen him before this preseason (like Barlow in 2010), we would be raving about how good he has been.
Some players mature earlier; some mature later. Those that are already writing him off are probably the same ones that wrote off Mundy several times while he was in his early 20's. I'm not saying he will make it but writing him off now is ridiculous.
You may be right. But he's only 21 years old and has only played 26 games. I reckon there's an outside chance he could lift his game to another level. To me, he often seems unsure/spooked/nervous when he has the ball in hand. His decision making can be suspect at times and he goes backwards too often. If he starts attacking and taking the game on, I think his foot skills may become a bit more of a weapon. I reckon that all he needs is confidence. There's potential in this kid, he just needs to attack!
Interestingly his career avarage disposals, Marks, Goals and tackles are almost identical to Nic Suban's. I think Clancee has Suban's spot this week, we'll see if he can keep it.

that all may be right, but suban has had a couple of games where he has been an absolute standout
that all may be right, but suban has had a couple of games where he has been an absolute standout, pearce hasnt.... plus i dont see a player who is slow, with suspect decision making and an average kick having a big future
Every club needs some fringe players as depth anyway. Can't keep players that would in other teams best 22 for long without playing them. So you need some players like him. And he is still young to make it as regular 22 player...oh there is, but i think as we build depth, clancee will find it harder and harder to justify his spot on the list, i dont think he has the ability to be a good consistent player at afl level, and so will be delisted sooner rather than later... he might hang on for another couple of seasons
In regards to ability , not the exact quote from Ross but was along the lines " I don't ask players to go down the race expecting to be BOG, I expect them to play their part and contribute to the team by executing the game plan" that's exactly what Pearce does, and has to do play his part and contribute.
i dont see a player who is slow, with suspect decision making and an average kick having a big future
I think Pearce would be the 2nd happiest man on the planet due to this news..
Ok, I'll bite! Who's the happiest then?

I'm not too sure about that, plus Suban has had a lot more opportunities then Clancee has. Clancee is a proven WAFL performer while Suban really struggles. He has got good instincts, tackles hard and finds more footy then Suban. I don't think his kicking is anywhere near as bad as people think. The main difference is that Clancee works hard on the track where as Suban just goes through the motions. I hope they both turn it on this year.
Remember.Give the players a clean slate under Ross.
Have you been to training? every time i have been there suban has been the most intense, the most vocal and definitely one of the most impressive... pearce has been good as well, but there is no way in hell that suban just goes through the motions
