Classic Mini SNES

Wish it had a few more games, but still pretty good..

Turtles in Time
James Bond Goldeneye..
Chrono trigger

some games would have polished it off nicely, but i think they don't have license to use all of them or something...

not a perfect list by any means but not too bad either....(a bit thin on games)

hopefully they make it updatable to the virtual console or something on this emulator...

i assume otherwise that it'll just become modded like the NES..

N64?

Does the raspberry pi look like a nes or snes?

Just pre ordered mine. Will hopefully pick up another at a later date to keep for future collecting.

I get the collection and industry support reason, but do you look at a console when you play it? :P

$120 for an emulator which plays 20 games is a bit rough though.

$6 per game? Bargain

hard to grumble really....
my theory is that if they are re-making chrono that's why it's not on there....

turtles in time is licensed out, so ....

$120 for an emulator which plays 783 games is pretty sweet.

Fixed.

Just pre-ordered mine. A decent lineup of games, I just hope someone releases a wireless controller for this.

Well it was originally supposed to made for the SNES before Rare scrapped those plans and made it for the N64.

Put the damn games on the Switch Nintendo.... The cynic in me can't help but wonder if they are delaying VC due to the success of selling these emulators.

Surely it's a matter of time before Switch gets hacked to put Homebrew on it, then VC is almost obsolete

As long as you can hack it it's fine

And I eyeballed the shit out of my mini NES when I played it so the answer is yes :P

Have better eyes and co-ordination than me. :P

I think everyone has valid points though, including those who would just get a RPi.

If I wanted nostalgia though, I would get the real full size thing which you can get on eBay for around the same price anyway. Just my 2c.

That's fine if you have all the SNES games conveniently lying around at home

It's like Raspberry Pi + SNES console rolled into one. Plus you get online multiplayer too

Not really, one is double the price and limited to one console, and both require modding to play more than the standard 20 games that come out of the box.

Im not trying to put this down though, I can get the appeal of it and if I had (more) money to burn, i would get one. Just when there are cheaper options to play the same thing and satisfy the nostalgia cravings, I couldn't justify the purchase.
