If Cloke was to miss the first few rounds of the season. How will our forwardline look?


Collingwood are keen to improve JA's skills further up the field so perhaps he might play higher and Rusling as leading full forward.

*On Leon don't think I'm suggesting that he will play as a perminant forward, but just instead start up forward then move into the midfield as the game progresses*

Cameron Cloke doesn't play for Collingwood!
I believe you meant TRAVIS CLOKE.
Hopefully he'll be OK.

We need to be careful with Travis Cloke. If he does not have a good year we cannot win the flag. No way in hell will Collingwood’s forward line without Cloke beat the best in September. Anthony is handy, Reid, Dawes and Brown (either of them) haven’t cut it thus far dreams of Rusling are only that unfortunately. Anyone who thing Fraser can play as a KP forward hasn’t been watching him not take string marks for a decade.

Cloke has queries over his ability to crash a pack and take enough strong marks but he is our best option and has enough talent to be a decisive factor in finals. If Cloke fires at the right time – and he kicks straight – we could snag a flag. There is some small talent we can put up forward but we need Cloke to both stand strong at CHF and open the forward line up by marking up the ground and delivering forward.

I’d love to see Dawes ultimately take up the CHF position but nothing I saw in 2009 indicated he would do it in 2010. I will watch his NAB Cup with interest. Hopefully Cloke doesn't paly and Dawes plays CHF.
