On one hand you want to go back 25 years and I have given you that option by playing in the VFL.

But you also want the limelight of playing in the nations top league. This means you don't want the AFL to change or expand in any way at all, because it doesn't suit you.

2 - 4 teams will be erased from the AFL in the next 20 years, whether you like it or not.

Firstly I wouldn't think I had to explain it to anyone but the current VFL has nothing to do with the VFL of the past. They are totally different competitions that have shared the same name. Understand that first and you may understand my reservations.

Secondly, I have already said that I don't care about the limelight of playing in the nations top league. I like for my side to play games against the teams that I have grown up watching. Like it not there is tradition behind a game between two of the old VFL sides that will not be matched for many years by any sort of tradition against new sides.

Thirdly I am prepared to give my club every opportunity of surviving in this league before I sit back and accept that we do not have a place in it. I also think if 2 - 4 clubs go, whether that includes my club or not, the AFL, and the sport of Aussie Rules will be worse off. You ignore every possible negative about the expulsion of clubs and have apie in the sky idea of what the likes of Norwood, Northern Territory and Tassie would bring to the AFL.

You support a side that at this point of time has contributed very little to the competition, yet you are talking about getting rid of sides that have played a huge role in building the AFL to what it is now.

They still have your traditional clubs that you can have your traditional matches with.

No match between Victorian teams will ever be matched by that of the Port vs Crows showdown or WC vs Freo derby, just because you have played each other in the past has no relevance whatsoever, most Vic vs Vic games are boring and pointless.

Once again the sport of Aussie Rules will not be worse off without two bit Vic sides, once again you presume that Aussie rules revolves around Victoria, it doesn't. I have no pie in the sky ideas about these sides, I freely admit they would need some form of support, but a Tas/NT team that needs a little bit of help is better than yet another Vic team that needs the same amount of help

I support a side that is the most successful professional Australian Rules club in the world, a side with 132 years worth of history. A side that has built Aussie Rules from the ground up, a side which is the trophy piece of football in Australia. How do teams that are simply in a VFL competiton and get migrated to the AFL competiton leaching off the other sides to stay afloat play a huge role in building the AFL.

It is a case of being at the right place at the right time for these clubs, all they do is simply make up the numbers.

Real traditional matches against sides playing their kids and supplementary players. Get real.

Whatever you reckon.

I have already explained to you that it has nothing to do with Victoria, it has to do with losing supporters of the sport. You don't seem willing to accept that so I won't bother continuing.

Like I said Port have at this point of time done very little to contribute to the AFL.

Once again you are not prepared to accept the arguments I have given you that these clubs have contributed to the AFL. I won't bother making the effort any more.
