I doubt that the weather has anything to do with it.

Let me put it to you like this, comparing the prime minister situation to us having co-captains is laughable. They are so totally different.
The prime-minister would be comparable to the coach (as they make tough decisions). The captain does not make any decisions, you do realise this, yeah?

My choice for captains are Jones and Trengove jointly. I'm not certain why Jones seems to get so little mention here, not an outstanding player but is certainly relaible. Seems to have a great on field presence and most importantly clearly puts in 100% all the time unlike the 2011 captain.
Please learn politics, Trav. The PM is really nothing more than the leader of a pack who all have an even vote. The anarchy surrounding her is so bad because all it does is de-stabilise the party when she really does next to nothing in regard to passing laws.
That's the problem we has when we went with Vossy/ Lynchy and it worked for usWhile I'm not particularly enamoured with the idea of co-captains, given the obvious failure of an individual captain at MFC in 2011 we obvioulsy need something to change going into 2012. Unfortunately our next generation of leaders are too inexperienced to captain Melbourne, I have no doubt with another 40 odd games Trengove and Grimes will both be ready to lead but right now they haven't played enough footy.

Trengove is in just his third season and is too young and inexperienced to be made captain.
Jones is a bit of a battler and I don't think he would be mentally capable of leading the team and ensuring his own form remains at a high standard.
I think Moloney is the obvious choice for us.
Agree that Moloney should get the gig, but just because Trengove is young doesn't mean he should be discounted. I know one player who believes he should be named skipper
