CA also have a poor relationship with the players due to the contract drama in previous years. Perhaps removing Langer will help that relationship?
I don't see the connection. The Board, Australian cricket Cricket Australia , whatever they were or are, have always stuck the knife into the players.
Go back to Bradman's days, as a player and as a board member. It was Ok for him get extras as a player, but believed that the others, weren;t as worthy as him.
When on the Board , he believed the players were paid too much.
Thankfully Packer came along and evened things up a bit.
But CA, or what ever they call themselves a self serving and have no thought for the player.
How can Removing Langer support your theory?

But that's the thing results don't matter this farce is being based on the senior playing group having there own agenda

win lose or draw its not based on that but the boys club mentality

A happy group is a more successful one. I’m hardly fussed who is coach although Langer not being there could mean no Marsh in tests that’s a good thing lol

People lose their minds over what was really one test defeat.

A bad one, yes, but these net bowlers have about 800 FC wickets between them, and given the bowers in the other test we lost had 1,000 test wickets, it's no shame to be behind them. It's the equivalent of having Richardson, Neser, Boland and O'Keefe bowl Australia to victory - bloody good players denied a better opportunity at test level because they are behind an all-time attack.

Oh, and again, after that he was asked to change, and he did changed, and we won a World Cup and Ashes.

Yes an Indian backup team is still a very good team. But you’d think we’d lost to Zimbabwe 3rd XI the way some carry on.

Yes, but in the next series(s) our fortune rests on Smith. Lab has never played there. I hope they both score a lot, but I have faith in Smith more.

No Australian has played in pakistan for years.
Take you ridiculous & unfactual views and harris bashing elsewhere.

He took a backseat role and subsequently aus won the wc/ashes. They were still debutants v the likes of smith/warner/labs etc. It was a bad loss for Australia, a vey bad loss. Why wouldn't they remove him completely if him taking a lesser role leads to better results?

That is a joke surely.
The fact that their "net " bowlers were always fresh was the reason the Indians were able to win the series.
Our bowlers were worn out by having to bowl day in day out, test in test out. We, like India, needed to rotate the bowlers.
And On Cummins, I have the utmost respect for him as a bowler, but , he is hiding in clear view. Come clean, just say why you don't back Langer. I am sure that will get more respect than doing what he is doing now.

Langer was part of the think tank that didn't rotate the bowlers. He is to shoulder the blame too.

Well if the players don't want Langer to coach them and CA doesn't appoint Langer then they are siding with the players, which will help the relationship between those parties.

Perhaps I am old school, what does the word "woke" mean.Seems to be a word that has surfaced in the last 18 months.

It seems to have become the new version of calling anybody you disagree with in politics a pinko or commie as a casual way to handwave their concerns, its original use was by black people in america sort of a rallying call for them to stay politically alert but as they often do the american fascists have attempted to co-opt the word and use it more as a slur against people they disagree with politically.

Probably stiff on Langer but if Cummins has had enough of him then probably move him on. Much easier to find someone to use a sidearm and talk in psycho babble than it is to find a bowler who averages 21 in test cricket.

Is it just me or this Langer debate seems identical to the AFL situation of where Freo and west Coast to play home games. When it comes to WA v Rest of Australia.

WA people calling NSW conspiracy, poor old JL is being picked on and knifed in the back by cummins.

Then to the AFL part the WA people calling it ridiculous that eastern states might force their teams to hub for a whole season despite borders being closed.

Seems like we are having an argument with the same people over 2 different topics.

I wonder what sort of reaction Cummins and Bayliss (if he replaces Langer) will receive next time there's an international match in WA.

At this rate the premier will keep borders closed forever anyway lol

So CA australia need another day to come up with a decision...they do not have the courage to say yes or no

useless pricks

As long as they make the right call it’s fine

Time to bring back the Boof.

What's Cummins going to do, go and play for another country?
