I was in and out of footy when I was a teenager. Really only got back into it fully 2009/2010 (minus some games I went to when I lived in Adelaide for a bit), and in the past I never really thought about opposition players too much lol

and Matt Kennedy. So I think Miller could be a really great acquisition for us and it's always nice to bring in another Queenslander but we sure do seem to be going after a lot of ex-GWS people:

GWS tenures
Brad Miller (NEAFL coach/assistant coach - forwards): 2016-2020
Wayne Campbell (general manager of football): 2016-2019
Craig Cameron (list manager): 2016-2017

Look at the Giants' results in those years:

2016: 16-6/4th/prelim final
2017: 14-6-2/4th/prelim final
2018: 13-8-1/7th/qualifying final
2019: 13-9/6th/grand final
2020: 8-9/10th

Undoubtedly their most successful period between 2016-2019 and our three guys were there in important roles for most of those years. Home and away - 64 wins, 3 draws and 38 losses. Finals - 6 wins and 5 losses. That's an impressive run of home and away results and I know a 6-5 finals record doesn't sound great but it's very difficult to put together a winning finals record over multiple years unless you're winning flags. Just look at Brisbane's 1-5 finals record over the last three years and they've finished 2nd, 2nd and 4th in those seasons. So a run of finals appearances with 6 wins and 5 losses including a grand final, two prelim finals and a qualifying final is actually really good.

Let's just hope for our sake that we've found the winning formula and 2022 is the year we finally realise our potential!
