Where's the Cog fans here!??

I know this tour is pretty costly compared to previous tours, but if you're a fan, you have to get to a show if you can... It's likely to be their last going by what Lucius has said. :( What they've made in 12 years has been quality, their last album not so much, but their live show is what makes them so incredible. Get to it!

Cog’s “The Sound Of Three – 12 Years With You Tour”:
Thursday 3rd June – UniBar, Woolongong
Friday 4th June – Billboard, Melbourne
Saturday 5th June – The Governor Hindmarsh, Adelaide
Friday 11th June – The Metro Theatre, Sydney
Saturday 12th June – The Tivoli, Brisbane

Wtf, why are they breaking up?
'The New Normal' is one of my favourite albums, but I can't get to the show tomorrow night, sad times.

Got next Saturday off soccer so hoping to make it up to The Tivoli to see them. Saw them at the BDO in '09 and were equal with Lupe for act of the day. Brilliant!

Shame that it doesnt look like there going to continue but you can be sure it will be an awesome show.

i haddn't heard anything about Cog breaking up.. That'd be such a disappointment as they're definately at the top of the heap as far as Aussie bands go right now. Sharing Space is an amazing album, hell everything they've put out is awesome and after having a play count of over 250 on my ipod, Bird of Feather is still one of my favourite songs. I'll be there tonight to see the boys, hope they continue, awesome band.

really love the sharing space album,l was shocked when l read the paper it said this could be cogs last show in Melbourne l'm like why:confused: really would have gone if l knew they were going the break up earlier .2 great bands playing in the city in cog and birds of Tokyo

not coming to perth :(

seen these guys heaps of times, 10+... don't mind sharing space as an album, but it was disappointing given what this band is clearly capable of... i just happen to be cranking the new normal right now, which is top 5 albums of all time for me... the just visiting tracks were great too...

will be sad if they break up, was interested to see what they served up after sharing space given the mixed response it received amongst fans...

I went and saw them at The Gov a few years back when they toured with a kiwi band (Jacob I think their name was). A friend of mine had introduced me to them and I instantly liked them. I dragged a couple of my mates to the show and they instantly became fans of theirs that night.

Awesome band and will be very sad if they do indeed break up.

Love em, The New Normal is one of my fave albums, the others are pretty good too. I went to the last few Perth shows but I'm too broke for this tour, hopefully they get over whatever personal shit is going on between them and write another album

What? Their last tour ever? They were playing in Melbourne on the same night St.kilda were playing. :( I saw them at the 2009 BDO and they sounded amazing from the very first note I played, and I even admit they wouldn't even be in my top 50 bands on cd recordings alone, but great band live.

Two years ago i would have rated them the "band most likely" ... awesome talents .

Then Sharing Space came out and at best its luke warm ...

Read an article in "inpress" a couple of weeks ago interviewing "Zeke"(formerly Mammal) from the "Ox and the Fury" of which Luscious is the drummer ... he said that after 4 years of mucking around with ideas that all members were putting all thier energies into this band as all thier other commitments were finishing up

Read into it what you want but does not bode well for Cog

Bloody waste IMHO ...

Just Visiting is awesome, but The New Normal is definitely one of the best Australian releases. Sharing Space isn't their best, but is underrated by most people IMO.

Watching The Sound of Three DVD now... They are so ****ing amazing live. Lucius Borich is a machine behind the drum kit. They surely will make another album down the track, I'd say.

They're playing at a festival in Queensland later this year, so hopefully that's a sign that they're not done with yet! :thumbsu:

The Melbourne show I went to earlier this year was probably the worst time I've seen them live - not saying they were bad at all - just no new music and the thought of whether they were breaking up or not made it not as enjoyable. :(

But part of the set list included Moshiach, Open Up and The Spine... Which made it totally worth it just for that. :D

Sleep Parade and Calling All Cars supported as well. Great bands from Melbourne. Especially Sleep Parade, should be more well known. If you like Cog, you will definitely like them and are a must see live band.
