Me too. :(

I had a shocking flu, followed by other crap, then last week I found out I have "chest wall syndrome" and now I have a cold again.

I'm soooooooooooooo sick of feeling sick!!!!!

I had the 'flu a week ago. It literally flattened me for a whole week. I couldn't get out of bed, I couldn't talk, I couldn't walk, I couldn't breathe. I went from 49 kilos to just under 46 kilos in a week. I still haven't completely shaken it.

I'm now gone three weeks with a flu/cold and I can't shake the bastard off. I've had flu tablets, Vitamin C tablets, lozenges, the whole kit and caboodle and I still can't throw it off. I've even stopped drinking beer!

Had my flu shot a couple of months ago-- told myself for years I was going to be well prepared for the cold & flu season, and the result is that I am still on my toes, even at this stage of winter. :D

Flu shots BEFORE the winter season work like a charm... and I'm generally scared of needles to begin with.

Cheers,
William

You're all soft!!! Was over my flu-ish thing in about two days.

Remedy : absolutely violent beef curry, with extra everything plus a heap of garlic. Wash it down with a ****load of beer.

Recipe on request. Not for the faint hearted.

Was it my mood, or was this very good?

Ahh I think it was my mood. Still good call :D

I don't get colds very often at all, which is amazing coz all my friends have them all the time, as do all my family. High immunity maybe? :D *shrugs* and when I do get them, they are normally only around for a week, maybe less. Don't get them very bad either, normally just a runny nose and a slight cough...guess I'm just lucky :p *touches wood*

Haven't had any sniffles or coughs this winter *crosses fingers and touches wood* but I had some nasty condition a couple of months ago where even with 2 jumpers, a jacket and a scarf and the heating turned on I was still shivering like a leaf.:( Shook it off in a few days, but it wasn't pleasant.
Maybe it's just my imagination, no-one else seems to think so, but I still reckon it's been an exceptionally cold winter in Sydney this year. In the past I've never felt the cold, but I have this year.

4 weeks ago I came down with a nasty flu/virus and it lasted for a week. I had a very high temparture, bad headache, runny nose etc. And becuase of this, I had no appetite, hence was eating very little. Well one night when I had it, I started feeling very dizzy and I felt very strange. I stood up and had no balance what so ever, I walked out to were my parents were, (at this stage I was crashing into everthing becuase I had to control.)

My dad thought I was being stupid at first but then I fell into his arms and blacked out. I woke up a few minutes later and I was sweating profoundly. My parents were scared-sh*tless and rang up for an ambulance. I went to hospital, they injected me with some fluid and I was on an oxygen mask, they took blood tests on me and I was ok. (Thank God, I was scared I might of had menonigicocal. Quite a few cases were happening on the Gold Coast at the time and I had all the symptons. I was generally very scared and lying there after I woke up after collapsing, I tried to keep telling myself that it was very rare, its unlikely etc, but the problem was, I wasn't believing myself and thought that I might be dead soon. It was scary stuff. My head was spinning with different ideas and alternatives. I had no idea what the hell was wrong with me and no idea why I blacked out.)

The doctors said that I was just totally dehydrated and my fluids were incrediblly low becuase I wasn't eating much that day and the fact that I was spewing up all day didn't help. He told me to drink water constantly for te next few days and to keep my fluid intake very high.

Not much fun at all!
