I'm starting up the Clayton Collard bandwagon and I'm riding it all the way to PSD!

If we snatch Collard, I will be more over joyed about it than about having Judd! Collard could be the biggest steal of the off season! Have no doubt about this bloke is a gem! Gibbs, Murphy, Collard, Kreuzer/Cotchin :eek:

There's been talk of possible off field issues (ie. partying hard, not 110% committed to his football), I don't know how much truth there is to this talk! If this is the case and the reason for Freo delisting him then he's a risk worth taking, he's 18-19 years of age every bloke coming into the AFL is going to struggle to adjust to being a professional athlete, doesn't mean he's a bad kid just means Fremantle haven't got the right people in place to look after their draftees!

It's not a Cousins situation where he's in his late 20's and it's now too late to act! If the rumours of his off field behaviour are true, why not take a punt on him and get him out of Perth and away from that lifestyle so he can become a superstar at Carlton! ;)

At Carlton I have no doubt Clayton Collard would become a superstar of the comp along with Murphy and Gibbs! :thumbsu:

Think this is the sort of player we should go for - young, talented player, wanting a second chance. Freo is not exactly a great environment fordeveloping players, and he might turn things around playing alongside quality like Stevens, Murph, Gibbs and Judd. The only problem, is that the Tiges are repelling everyone from the PSD. :)
 
Collard would be a massive pick .The kid just needs some mentoring and new direction,and what better inspiration than Judd , Stevens Murphy and Gibbs
A vibrant Club like CFC would be the right environment to unlock his big potential.
Has great skills, nice pace and size, would class and grunt to our midfield / forward line..
This could be the steal of 2007.

in any event collard was struggling to get a game in the wafl reserves. He & Jetta are like thelma and louise. Dangerous pick.

Collard should be interviewed by the club, and if they think his attitude is right (depending on what he has done off field) then maybe give him a shot.

Less just keep in mind, he hasn't just been delisted after two years for not quite making it.........he was sacked after 1 year, and paid out for 1 year.........clubs don't do this lightly to such talented young players.

We need to research this thoroughly.
If any doubt I would rather take a punt on an untried "project player" than risk having a cancer in the club.......ala Angwin.

You really have to wonder why he was sacked after 1 year. If he is a head case i would rather not have him. WE have finished off loading them and now we are left with 1 (FEV, but i can handle his outburst becasue he is a genuine A GRADER).

Very much the opposite, a little too shy for his own good.

He has been delisted due to serious problems again with his OP and Calf troubles.

Im quite sure we will rookie list him this year. :thumbsu:

Then i would definately have a look at Collard... he was a very talented player in the championships and he could fit into our side very nicely if he unlocks his potential.... How long has he had OP for?
