The West Coast Eagles have informed defender Michael Collica and utility player Kane Munro that they will not be offered contracts for the 2005 season.

Popular members of the squad, neither managed a senior game this season but gave solid service during their careers.

Collica, 27, was secured from Hawthorn after 30 games in two seasons through a trade deal ahead of the 2000 national draft and started his career at West Coast in outstanding fashion, finishing runner-up in the club champion in his first season.

He played all 22 games and proved to a reliable defender. He also played 23 games in 2002, but injury restricted him to just five matches in 2003 before failing to gain selection this year.

In all, Collica played 50 games with the West Coast Eagles and the club is indebted to him for his fine contribution.

Munro, 22, played 18 games with the club after being selected with pick No.41 in the 1999 draft but managed only nine matches in the last three seasons. He was, however, selected in the team for the 2002 elimination final against Essendon where he kicked three goals.

West Coast Eagles coach John Worsfold thanked both players for their efforts over the past four or five seasons and wished them well for the future.

Not really any suprises although Im sad Kasey Green didnt go aswell or does his contract have another year on it?

EDIT: sorry i just saw the other post. :o
