Like I said, I have no idea. I agree with you guys
Paul Roos always said if he found out a player was going to another club at the end of the season he wouldn't play him anymore, so it's not all that unbelievable.

Yeah, all well and good to say that publicly, but when a spot in September is on the line you think a little differently.

How pissed off will his teammates be when they find out their best player won't be able to help them play finals because the club is having a sook.

Has this even Happened before that a Player was Dropped because they where Leaving the Club?

Imagine the scenes, Treloar and Aish for Picks 9, 27-ish and Seedsman.

Yeah, take that.
Treloar - 1st round 2015, 2nd round 2016

Aish - 2nd round and Seed or Ox

Retain Scharenberg

This is my Nirvana...

Whats stopping treloar, or aish for that matter, walking to Carlton in the psd?

We could use that to help us get a deal over the line but they could always do a port and let him walk.

Anyone, in particular our resident draft gurus, think this is a major possibility?

They would go in the National Draft and I doubt they be Taken with a Top 2 Pick

Is there anyway we could we do this? Scharenberg and first round pick (in top 10) for Danger. Trade Witts to Bulldogs for their first rounder and give that and next year's first rounder for Treloar. Seedsman and 2nd rounder to Lions for Aish. Front end one contract and back end the other. Do we have the $$ after losing Beams. Reid and Cloke could be on lesser contracts soon. And Swan will prob only play for 1 or 2 more seasons. Can Matt rendell and Hine pull off this deal of the decade??

If Brian Waldron, Bernie Madoff or the ALP manage your books, (or you're the Sydney Swans), then I reckon you could make it happen

Just wild idea ( and probably stupid but just letting a balloon up ). Is there any chance we can use the druggies in a deal with Brisbane? Like we keep them on the rookie list now and then agree to offload them to Brisbane next year. If they enter the draft, both of our clubs are not guaranteed to get them.

I like the way your mind works. I suspect if we did succeed in completing that deal Mike Fitzpatrick would step in and invent another on the spot 'Collingwood can't get too strong' law to declare it void. It'd be called the transitional overload ramifications rule (or some such shite) intended to ensure even distribution of available talent through free agency. Ignoring the fact that Sydney, Hawthorn and Geelong have taken the lions share of free agents up to this point.

You do realise Frawley is the only FA Hawthorn have secured? Simpkin was delisted so we grabbed him off the scrap heap.

Spot on. Neither of who were free agents. Kinda the same as Quentin Lynch and Jesse White. #samesamebutdifferent
Quentin Lynch was a free agent

I'd like Treloar but depending on what the club might give up for Aish, he isn't someone I'm overly excited about. I think our midfield will be good enough in the future that we can survive without Aish. I also haven't got much faith in Reid being a consistent part of the team going forward, so I'd rather the club leave room in the salary cap to have a look at a KPF.
