Which of the "Big 4" Victorian clubs do COLLINGWOOD supporters rate as their biggest rival?

Always used to be The Blues but of late, witht the Blues lack of onfield/off field success, it has definatley been Essendon. Now that the blues are finding their feet, it'll switch back.

I hate Essendon - and to a lesser extent Richmond - but not as much as Carlton.

Quick assessment, Carlton are on the up but supporters are most passionate sweet to beat, hopefully will beat them this year.
Essendon have had the wood of late even when barely avoiding spoonage beat us last year and cost us top 4 spot.
Melbourne again have the wood so to speak as well. But the worst is last, Richmond. My lowest moment of last year watching that insipid group beat us. Nathan Brown is a nong, (spot on Smorgon WBs better off without him) and Wallace had the gall to get all high and mighty after one of their dullard players broke his leg kicking a ball 'off the ground' (insert Leons knee cap off his leg) and got boooed for the effort, oh I'm sorry Terry I will cheer next time one of your players kicks a Magpie in the knee. And Wallace is overated too. I read with amazement some of the supposed football intelligensia trying to sell him as some sort of innovator last year because they managed to cause a couple of upsets. Come off it, they are no worse or better than any other team with a developing list. Depending on the players mood they can cause the odd upset, I would hardly attribute it to Wallace. If he was good he would have taken them into the 8, as they do have some decent talent. I hope the Pies beat them this year, or I'am afraid it will be a KPI (key performance indicator) for the finals. Must admit though, Tigers supporters are decent compared to Essendon and Carlscum worms.

In terms of on-field performances, Essendon have provided us with a much worthier rival of late.

I still hate Carlton more though, because they're cheats.

I still think it's the Blues - For some reason I always think the games are more unpredictable with them, like regardless of where the two teams are at, it could go either way.

No Way, I reckon Essendon is our biggest rival at the moment.... they always get up for us..... I just have a real hate for Essendon!!!

Carlton may have been our old arch-rival but I think the Bombers are now number 1.

The two other teams I hate are Melbourne (The queen's b'day gate receipts is what keeps em alive) and St Kilda (they have had the wood on us the last couple of years).

Carlton........they win a coin toss and their fans are screaming "we're back".

Instead of being humbled by the past five years, they have just been stowing away the excess arrogance and smugness they have not been able to release......The air will be thick with garlic as their mouths won't shut whenever they are competitive again.

Richmond.......If only Stan Magro gave KB in the 1980 GF the "how you doing" he gave Jesualenko in 79 this may not be the case. Without a doubt the most feral supporters. They should have a list of 22 coaches they can sack, rehire, spit on throughout the course of a season.

Essendon........they're ok. They let us spank 'em in 1990 and Anzac Day is a great day irrespective of the result. And besides......Carlton fans hate 'em so I tend to think they must be ok.

I guess you would have a hatred for Carlton given the Colliwobbles have not beaten Carlton in a Grand Final in your past 5 clashes (1915, 1938, 1970, 1979 & 1981). Also in our last clash in a finals game in 1988 as well.

Throw in to the mix as well the greater number of head-to-head wins Carlton has as well.
