I don't know why, but I feel like it will be an anti-climax if it's Fraser or Maxwell. I want the club to take a risk by naming someone young (Pendlebury, Cloke) or someone like Swanny.

hmm fair enough however i would argue that it may point towards pendlebury being named
mite give him a couple of months to 'ease' into the position a bit earlier

Seriously though, I just watched the footage of Pendlebury getting stuck into Tarrant again, and if we don't make this kid captain there is something wrong with us. "Too young" is rubbish, he is an established player and in our top 3-4 players. He was the only one flying the flag for his teammate, Fraser tapped Tarrant on the back before stepping in between... I know it's only one incident, but it speaks volumes for me. We all know Pendles will get it eventually, so why not now?

In saying that, Maxwell flies the flag all the time. Love it when he does it too.

If it is indeed Nick Maxwell announced, it is a Tom Harley appointment. Not certainly our best player, nor our best defender, but obviously our best leader, and that's the most important thing. You get that right, then other things can look after themselves.
