I'm not one to give any part of the AFL media any credit. I hate how the game is reported.

But the washup from our game on the weekend has been spot on.

No team has come as close to beating the Swans as North aside from the one that actually did.

I'm sure they'll be a Barrett or a Wilson who'll say it was still a loss so we still suck and that accepting it is evidence of a losing culture.

But overall we've been given a pass, but not a free pass. I've heard legitimate and reasoned criticism of Larkey's impact, McKercher's decision making and the overall defensive set up. It's all fair and realistic and correct external feedback can only make our team better. I feel a sense that the better reasoned and less click-bait oriented members of the media would have liked us to have won, and hope that we improve from here. They're frustrated that some simple errors could have made for a more interesting result.
