the commentating on tonight's game sucked big time

its almost like they didnt do there home work and didnt know all the new players we were playing... when someone got the ball they didnt know they would talk random shit

sooooooo annoying. i would love to have known abit of background on some of our new players

also what else anoyed me was they were saying collingwood looked sooooooo good!!.. even though they were up against basically a vfl team

p.s - i hate robert walls
 
Yeah it was terrible.
That and you think they could of done some research on the new rules at some point too. the number of times they thought it was a throw in when it was a free kick or the other way around was becoming a joke.

astbury played magnificently in the blues game and it still took them 40 minutes for them to mention hed inherited richos number. quarters needs to get daisys dick out of his mouth and start calling names instead of telling us how amazing he is after daisy does some handball along the ground and falls flat on his face.

ONE can eat a dick, channel seven shits all over them.
 
yes it was pretty bad. annoying that they just talked so much bs rather then call the game. they are paid to know their stuff, not hard to memorise some names and numbers and find out about who is playing. lazy and unprofessional.

Well, there is still along way to go everyone. Remember we didn't have half our senior players playing last night, so there's the factor.
Come round 1 premiership season we should be a lot more competitive. You only hope and pray.;)
I know one thing Robin Nahas wont be in the 22. He is to slow. He will be lucky if he is at the club by october this year. When gets down real business of the trade week.

Absolutely Agree JR8!! The 10 commentary team overall was just shocking. Any cred mathew what his name had with me completely went went when he made the comment that Andy Krak is a lot fitter than when at RFC. To me he looked about the same physically. Lack of knowledge about our list was incred given as has been pointed out that these monkeys are supposed professionals. As well as the gushing over the pies and blues to try and cover it up!!! That steven quarter-idiot, the guy should'nt even be employed to do what he's doing. Given the yrs they have between them the should be embarrased abt the job they did last night. Just a disgrace. But on a more positive note some of our new blokes certainly didn't disgrace themselves:thumbsu:
 
The commentating was an absolute disgrace. Most of the time they did not even bother to try to name the players. there would be a chain of play and we would hear the name of the bloke who started it and finished it. Those in the middle shall remain nameless :cool:.

Half the time they talked shit ignoring what was going on on the ground.

It is the commontators job to learn the names of the players so they can do their job. These guys should not be paid for their efforts last night and channell ten really needs to assess what the purpose of their commontators is.

Fancy some clown coming in here calling people flogs because they recognise an unprofessional performance when they see it. 30 new players? they do have jumpers on their back! :rolleyes:. Imagine if race callers took that attitude?

Bruce McAvaney cops some shit, but he would have at least known and called the players names if he had been on last night.

Pathetic, pathetic and pathetic sums up their efforts last night.

This has been done adnausium on this board over the years but it does bare repeating .

Walls and quarterbrain are absolute ****wits of the highest order and should be scorned by all tiger bretheren .

If they had any respect for the RFC at all they could have at least done 10 minutes homework on the Richmond list in the hope of offering up maybe one insightful and meaningful comment regarding any of our young players but their stock and trade with us is "Derision, scorn and smugness"

totally concur with all comments here. pride in performance seems to be seriously lacking at channel 10. most normal people would be embarrassed to put their hand out for their pay after such a smug, lazy and complacent commentating effort. Of our players they managed to call consistently the few they recognised - Morton, Nahas, White, Nason, Rance, Edwards, Astbury, King, Tuck, Thursfield and Moore. Most of the game went by without mention of Contin (who was getting a bit of it), Batchelor, Helbig, O'Reilly and several others. Unprofessional in the extreme.
 
I wonder if any of this critisism will filter through to the management of channel ten, or are they just as ignorant, incompetent and unprofessional as the bozos masquerading as football callers last night?

Herald Sun no better today. Apparently Griffiths ran down Thornton in the Carlton game and MacDonald was at half forward?? Neither played in the Carlton game!

Couldn't care less who he supports. He's insightful and can be humouress when he wants. Underwood was better than all channel 7 commentators and I'm not even joking.

As soon as they tried to make a celebrity out of Mark Doran I knew why we lost. (Cant they just put him up for Dancing with the stars or something)

So that our Challenge games would be covered on Foxtel.

Would have liked to have seen more of the Tigers running around in that legends match.

What does Michael Pickering and Bruce Tempany look like today. Image Michael is stil fit looking just perhaps gray.

I couldn't agree more. I am not that familiar with what a lot of our new boys look like and it annoyed me that the commentators had less of an idea than I have!
