David King is without a doubt the biggest moron working in the industry right now and I am so sure he actively spends his time hating on us.

He said on Fox Sport last night that Essendon have done the right thing and Merrett's manager should be upset with us as we made a commitment to Merrett.

Mate:

1. The commitment was based on Essendon being a serious football club and not demanding 4 first rounders.
2. Essendon have done the right thing? I personally know of Essendon fans who personally would have accepted our initial offer for Merrett instead of keeping a player against his wish and knocking back a rebuild.
3. Did Essendon do the right thing when Scott and the other players went to the media to publicly bash Merrett or when they started spreading false rumours about him? Or when they underpaid him and constantly lied to him about the direction of the club?
