Have been genuinely impressed with the Swans and majority of their supporters for the class they have and the respectful way they've celebrated. It's great to see Joey Kennedey blossom into the gun we'd hoped, just a shame it's in Swans colours but am very happy for him.
Also, have said it on another thread but am very happy for McVeigh, that photo of him and his family is one of the great footy images we'll get to see, if we couldn't win the flag I'm gald someone of the calibre of McVeigh did especially after all he's gone through.
Congrats to the Swans and all involved in their club on a great year hopefully we'll get our chance for redemption on September 28th next year.

Thanks to all the thoughts in here. We went to The Sherlock Holmes Saturday night after the game and drank ourselves rotten. There were a number of Swans supporters there, enjoying the win, but they were all very noble winners too. Well done.

My only gripe is the woman in M30 at the end of the game who found it necessary to rub a young Hawks head and give him the sucked in call when the siren went. The worst this young bloke did all day was support his team, and high five his dad and people around him. Not once did he get in the face of the Swans supporters. To you, whoever you are, I found your actions inappropriate and totally against all other Swan supporters I saw after the game. Happy for you to enjoy your win, as you deserved it, but that was just not necessary at all.

I never once noticed swearing or anything resembling aggressive behaviour from any Hawks or Swans supporters in our area. Amazing that such a crowd can behave so well & be respectful of each other before, during & after the game. Well done Hawks! Your team just would not let us get away to a decent lead & the way that you piled on 5 goals in so few minutes is just mind blowing. Easily the best GF for entertainment ever. Buddy is fantastic to watch.
I've no doubt that Clarko will tinker a little with your team & incredibly find even more improvement for 2013. I only hope that we can go with you in the coming years.

Cheers!

Also just want to add my voice to what others have said about Clarkson, and also Luke Hodge.

Clarkson's comments about getting losing in perspective were very dignified, and that's not a word we use much in football circles, is it? I've been guilty of only seeing the ultra-competitive Clarko with anger management issues. People who know him say he's a very decent guy at heart, but I hadn't seen it. Well his comments on Saturday showed the true measure of the man, and I now know my superficial impression was wrong. You're very lucky to have someone of that calibre as coach.

And Hodge was also very dignified and articulate and genuine, and again, you're very lucky to have someone like that leading your team onfield. Always respected him as a great player, but there's much more to him that that obviously.

My earliest memory of Clarko was this niggling little shit in a Demons jumper.
He has handled himself with aplomb. I also felt sorry for him, I wouldn't have pity on a knob like Buckley

kudos to ALL swans fans posting here and the odd good opposition fan too posting respectfully here it puts a huge smile on my face to see .

Throughout the year we can all have a little niggle at each other, some more than others, but as far as I'm concerned, I've put myself in an opposition supporter's shoes after our GFs & know that it hurts enough to lose a GF (2006 by 1 point) so the last thing one wants to hear is arrogant supporters from the winning team.
The fact remains that the Hawks can easily challenge for a p'ship in any of the next 5 years.

So chins up Hawks!

Cheers.
