Why is tandem cycling a thing? Who grows up thinking.. I want to represent my country in tandem cycling.

Isn't it a para crossover?

Does Channel 10 have online streams of the Games? I've managed to watch swimming and hockey on the BBC online - they show entire matches and races, but I have no idea if Ch 10 do the same thing.

Channel 10 don't even show it on T.V, let alone online.

Bassett our forward just didn't matter if she missed because she just got the rebound and kept shooting until it worked :D

""It felt a bit over the top today, but that's the game," said Guthrie. "We will see what they can bring in terms of skill, because the physicality is certainly there. I know Sharni well. I came up with her through the under-21s. She's a physical player and put on there for a reason. I don't think it got to us in the way they wanted it to. We held strong as a team. We deserved to win and that Aussie team didn't.""

Big moan from the English centre there. I hope that Aussie girls show an equal 'lack of skill' next time they play them if it means winning again. ;)

I was reading how most of the commentators are in Melbourne calling off a monitor and its mainly just the reporters and studio hosts in Glasgow. Obviously Gossage and Jones are in Glasgow. What about Reid / Stevenson, Howard, Bray ext?

'I don't think it got to us in the way they wanted it to'. I think the way the Australians wanted it to work was so they would win the game - sounds like job done to me.

I called the critical moment in the game when the English centre hit the ground in the last quarter - there was no blood, she didn't hit her head, but she went down like a soccer player. The English team was still 2-3 goals up at that point.
She stayed down for about 3 minutes - and wasn't badly hurt at all (well, she didn't look badly hurt). She should have got straight up (she got the penalty) and given the Australian the 'Is that all you've got'? look and then a bit of backchat.
About 1 minute later she fell over again and had another sook. Again, nothing in it. Plenty of other girls hit the floor and got straight back up.
It just looked like the English team (or at least one of their key players - Centre) were scared of losing after being in front - they were worried they were going to lose, instead of being fired up that they were going to win.

Don’t they usually call from the Broadcast Centre in Olympic/Comm Games anyway?

They may as well be in Melbourne.
