To all you posters who are defending or backing Dawson in over SNOS, you'll all probably preaching that griffo was ahead of Clarke at the start of the season too.Wrong.

SNOS is superior in every aspect of defending IMO.
He will get his chance sooner or later.

All I'm saying is don't change what isn't broken - we have a working defensive unit currently. Calling for heads over favoritism seems irrational and counterproductive

I'm not saying it's broken.I believe it will be better with SNOS in there over Dawson.I could be totally wrong, but I don't think I am.

Change isnt a bad thing
Without change we would still have Harvey

Look at any of the top teams over last few years.
Do they just sit back an say...... dont change what isnt broken?
Hell no they look to keep on improving.
Collingwood had good young defenders, many of their fans said bla bla bla we dont need Tarrant, yet they got him an it made them stronger.
They would of been fine without him didnt have to change, but saw an opportunity to make defense slightly better an tried it.

Many feel Silvagni COULD do better than Dawson who is doing a pretty good job.
Dawson isnt doing much wrong, hasnt been torn apart, not afraid to leave man to help out others etc.
Only problem is his disposal is terrible, 1 on 1 isnt convincing an comes very close to giving away frees every contest.
All Silvagni needs is the opportunity to prove himself an he COULD prove to be even better than Dawson.
Which makes us stronger an the defensive unit even better.

Yep its favourtism as Silvagni hasnt done anything all preseason/season yet.
Trouble is he hasnt been given a single opportunity down back to prove himself.
No preseason games down back an been playing forward in WAFL.

Anyone who thinks Dawson is terrible is blind.
Never be afraid of change though.
If theres a chance a change can improve things even more its worth the risk to try it.

So better see the part mentioned about collingwood then.

According to them there defense was great, Didnt need Taz an would struggle to even get games.
There defense wasnt broken yet still made a change that cost them(not much :( )
We can make a change with no cost.

So looks like you actually have to look or prove(come up with evidence) that you were hurt in strikes now. All you Auskickers start brushing up on your acting!

On the weekend Selwood took offence to Raines attention and clocked him - not dropping like a Selwood, Raines retaliated and struck Selwood - Joel drops (inflicted or not).

Latest MRP report:

RAINES
Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Geelong Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), medium impact (two points) and high contact (two points). This is a total of seven activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Four offence, drawing 325 demerit points and three-match sanction. He has an existing good record, reducing the penalty by 25 per cent to 243.75 points and a two-match sanction. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 182.81 points and a one-match sanction.

SELWOOD
Contact between the Geelong Cats' Joel Selwood and the Brisbane Lions' Andrew Raines from the fourth quarter of Saturday's match was assessed. The two players are ahead of the ball and running upfield. Selwood makes high contact to Raines with his left hand. After receiving a medical report from the Brisbane Lions Football Club, it was the view of the panel the force used was below that required to constitute a report. No further action was taken.

Either Selwood punches like a girl or Brisbane medical are too honourable...

Imagine Ballas in this situation!

.

From the grainy footage I saw selwood dishes out a stiff jab right to the chops, Raines then gives a roundhouse slap to the side of the head. I've been hit with both over the years and definitely would prefer a roundhouse slap than a short jab in the teeth.

Looks like another win for the afl - pin up boy number 2 is still available for brownlow honors.
