A big congrats to Mick for this great honour. A true legend at Collingwood.
He mentioned the victory against Port Adelaide as a great moment when Paul licuria had 42 and won the game for us and the 2002 side who just wanted it.

I’m still a bit salty at Eddie for that ridiculous deal to have his love child bucks coach us and move Mick on but I’ll get over it if Bucks wins a premiership.

Cheers to Mick a true Collingwood legend. 🍾👍

Just a heads up for posters, if you want to have a go at Mick save your time on here and start a different thread. This is for positive comments and as it says “Universal love” for a man who took us from wooden spooners to a premiership so park the hate elsewhere.

I'll never forget that Paul Licuria game and I forget most of them over time...

So you dismiss everything he ever did for the club, great supporter you are.

Did he sign a contract and didn’t honour it?

F K that selfish prick.

Credit where it’s due, premierships aren’t easy to come by and he coached us to one.

But.......Let’s be honest anyone who ends up at Carlton has a little stink about them, it doesn’t wash off......accept it and congrats MM.

Congrats Malthouse, very grateful for our 2010 flag. Could have easily had another 2-3 during his time (we had opportunities in 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2011), but didn't for various reasons. One is better than none though.

Also worth acknowledging fellow Hall of Fame Inductee Brad Hardie who played 2 games for us in 1992.

Turncoat! Chose the enemy for vengeance (and his coaching record). Will be forgiven for the length of each 10 year reunion.

Um, just read up on his best three players...no Buckley...not a very forgiving man is he? Has Swan, Hawkins and Jakovich.

Does anyone else get the sense he still wants to see us fail? Anyway, thanks for the premiership Mick, it was bucket list stuff for me.

I'm trying (and failing) not to read this thread. But did MM seriously leave Bucks out of that group?

If I'm fortunate to live long enough, it will probably be my privilege to slide into senility, lose my independence, forget the names and faces of those closest to me, and to defecate in my pants whilst watching re-runs of 'The Simpsons'. I only hope that those who know me best choose to remember my better days, not my latter days.

With Mick, I work at trying to remember the days when I loved him. I certainly remember how low my expectations of Collingwood were before he arrived, when going to the footy was almost an act of duty and a ceaseless search for hope (dare I say, 'green shoots), and then Ed and Mick appeared in a swanky sports car and everything changed. He brought us success and changed our expectations forever.

Congratulations to Mick.

Congratulations to Mick Malthouse.

To enter the Hall of Fame is no small thing.

A great of the AFL.

A great of Collingwood as coach.

Certainly an interesting character part genius, part curmudgeon.

Salute.

Bucks was on SEN this morning and confirmed they don't have a relationship.
Even said Mick is prepared to re-write history to say they don't/didn't get along, (words to that effect).
Bucks has and always will be the better man IMO.
