But in all seriousness well done. Fully deserved win. Totally out classed the pies from 1/4 time onwards. Thrashed the Pies midfield. Was very impressed with Reilly...was BOG in my opinion until he got hammered by Tarrant.

Maybe we can have a Wok-Off one day!! :D
 
I send my congratulations to Adelaide as well they were fan bloody tastic! You guys are gonna be a real threat this year.

That was such a good game! Seeing Collingwood loose is something you can never get sick of! :p

Lets just hope Tarrant gets a few games for what he did to Reilly, he sure deserves it!
 
Tarrant is a thug just like Cloke. He should get at least 3 games.
Reilly showed class beyond his years in a cauldron atmosphere in the first half. he was fantastic.

And what was with Lou Richards appalling peep show at half time. Whoever scripted the in depth questions by Lyon and Brereton should be sacked. It just goes to show how much of a joke the real collingwood is.:D :D
 
I'm disappointed I didn't have the balls to go over. Still, backed them four weeks ago at 5.5 to 1 and pretty happy with that result. If you read the Australian today, Malthouse made a fool of himself with some unbelievable dribble.

Loved the game of Reilly, this kid showed a lot of character and will bloom over the next twelve months. Carey, showed some glimpses and both goals were gems and finally, McLeod, fair dinkum I get a boner just watching this guy in action. Am I stoked, you betcha I am.
 
A very strong team performance tonight!

We were lead well in the middle from the start by Matt Clarke, who played like a man possessed fromthe first minute and was supported by the equally committed Biglands.

Perrie, Carey and Stevens provided strong tragets up forward. Ronnie Burns needs to improve.

Smart, Hart, Basset, Kenny and Torney were very reliable down back and did the job. Great to see Stiffy back in defence too.

Our real strength was in the middle - Macca, Reiley, Bode (did some tough things), Edwards (great game), Stinga, Roo, Bicks lead the team well showed great skills, heart and intensity!

One of the Crows best ever games! A great 4 quarter effort, I hope this comes out on DVD.

I wouldnt go that far. Was probably as bad as Brogans - 1 week.

Well done to the Crows, Reilly looks a talent lets hope that Stevo's not seriously injured as a Carey,Perrie,Stevens forward line will be hard to beat.

tarrant's was late.. it's obvious it was intentional..
he's just a dirty player, and brogan isnt..
 
Tarrant's eyes were right on the ball as he was on the lead, he then looked up and saw the guy was in the way and prepared himself for impact. He might get 1, but I would think that's even unlucky.

That's not bias. I believe that with any player in any situation and it happens alot. Happened with McLeod last year and thought he should have got off. Ever played AFL? Anything looks bad on slowmo, but when you are sprinting and suddenly see a player that you are about to hit, you naturally prepare yourself for the impact and shield yourself. And that's what happened.
 
Tarrant was very late, I think 1-2 weeks is what he will get. How come we didn't get a 50m??????:confused: My understanding is if a player gets reported he gets 50m against him.

Brent Reilly was terrific. I thought Mattner did 2 stupid things in the 1st quarter but played well for the rest of the game. Ladhams was all class and Bode played his best game of the pre-season.

I tought Bassett played really well. McGregor took care of Rocca for the majority of the match and did well when he came on to CHF.

2 really corageous things that stuck in my mind are:

*I think it was in 2nd Q, Molloy was running after a ball inside 50 and looked certain to pick it up and kick a goal and Torney came out of NOWHERE, dived on the ball got cleaned up by Molloy. Inspirational stuff

*Brent Reilly standing his ground and getting cleaned up, but he stood up, took the kick went off the ground for a couple of minutes and came back on. This kid is a star in the making.

Its only the pre-season but beating Collingwood is always a lot of fun especially when it keeps Eddie quite for a couple of seconds:D
 
Reilly didnt take his kick after getting cleaned up, he handballed it to ROO

I thought our decision making in the back line was a bit poor at times.

Bassett got caught once and was lucky to not get done again when he played on and got tackled.

I think wayne may be a good pickup as he showed good signs after his initial nervousness

We killed them in the ruck and its a pity they lost there second ruckman, as he got a pasting from biglands

I though tyson edwards was unlucky not to get the medal as he is such a hard worker in and under the ball. Bode played a very good game as well

Go the mighty crows, but make sure you beat the WA teams this year as its terrible living in WA when the crows loose to them

That was awesome - and then the ball went down the other end to Carey who marked on a lead then slotted it from 55m... :cool:

Your about two years off with that one...that rule got thrown out two years ago after players were being penalised 50 metres and goals for reports that were being thrown out at thr tribunal in 5 minutes.

Crows didnt get a 50 because (From memory) Reilly didnt take the mark. Had he marked it would of been a 50.

It was very similar to Brogans. Almost identical. But it is unavoidable contact. At full speed he was probably 0.2 of a second away from making that contest.

Bickley has been reported 2 times in the last 2 seasons for the same thing (once in 01, and once in the pre season last year), and Burton once in 01 as well. All 3 times they got off. Stevens and Wilson got off from similar incidents 2 weeks back. Brogan got a week last week for the same thing. Its most likely he will get off as in reality it was only a split second late compared to most other charges.
 
I didn't see the game, thank God for that, but it seems the boys from Adelaide were better than my boys on the night.
My opinion might change after I watch the game but for the moment, good on ya's for winning.

Not likely. The 'woods were belted all over the ground and the final scoreboard was somewhat flattering to them. Indeed, apart from the first 10 minutes of the first quarter and a 7-8 minute burst in the last that got them back to within 13 points, the Pies (somewhat surprisingly) didn't show much at all.

Fraser went off with a turned ankle early and as a result McKee and Rocca were smashed in the ruck, with Clarke and Biglands racking up a lazy 56 hit-outs between them. Because of this Buckley, Licuria and Woewodin were reduced to innocent bystanders, which should ring the warning bells at Victoria Park...

...No Josh Fraser, no Collingwood?
