Great performance by Adelaide and the congrats are well deserved, in particular by one of our former favourite sons along with his partner in crime absolutely murdering Collingwood in the ruck. It was fantastic to watch.

I thought Torney was sensational he is a very courageous player he really did stop a few certian goals.I spoke to him at the aftermatch, very pleased with his performance and said he is loving every minute at the AFC, he is really going to strengthen our already strong backline!!!! The AFC are going to have the best 2003 ever:cool: Hang on Crows Supporters get ready to go on the ride of your life:cool:

Crows didnt get a 50 because (From memory) Reilly didnt take the mark. Had he marked it would of been a 50.

It was very similar to Brogans. Almost identical. But it is unavoidable contact. At full speed he was probably 0.2 of a second away from making that contest.

Bickley has been reported 2 times in the last 2 seasons for the same thing (once in 01, and once in the pre season last year), and Burton once in 01 as well. All 3 times they got off. Stevens and Wilson got off from similar incidents 2 weeks back. Brogan got a week last week for the same thing. Its most likely he will get off as in reality it was only a split second late compared to most other charges.

I think that this situation typifies the many grey areas in our game. If the player does not make some sort of attempt to stop the mark then he gets it from the coach and even the fans - if he makes hard and seemingly inappropriate contact he runs the risk of being reported and suspended - and the subject of numerous debates afterwards! I'm not sure how this rule can be adjusted to make it easier to adjudicate on.

I feel soon that someone will get seriously hurt from this sort of contact!

Win back to back pre season comps then come talk to me ;) :p

But in all seriousness well done. Fully deserved win. Totally out classed the pies from 1/4 time onwards. Thrashed the Pies midfield. Was very impressed with Reilly...was BOG in my opinion until he got hammered by Tarrant.

Maybe we can have a Wok-Off one day!! :D

Thank's for that Macca19,

as for the Wok-Off mate, better not make the Ramsgate the Wok meet-up place,:D

That was an awesome night.....just got back from celebrating (1145 Sunday!). It's only pre-season, but winning is winning, and by jeez, by jingo, by crikey* that felt really good! Watching the Collingwood leave very soon after 3/4 time.....oh what a feeling! Can't wait to get the DVD, to watch the game, and hopefully they will show Eddie's face when he realises that the game is lost.

Did anyone else notice the similarity between the Collingwood pre-season guernsey, and the Port Magpies 'jailbars' lace up? Didn't do 'em any good, the real magpies wouldn't have lost two GF's in a row! Just made the night a little better. ;):D:D

Cheers,

Kasey

I thought Torney was sensational

Yeah I dunno... he gave away the freekick (holding the man) that Scott Burns played advantage to and kicked the Pies' 9-pointer from and Didak saw a lot of the ball...

He had a servicable game IMO... nothing more.

Torney kept his opponent quiet for most of the night. Impressed with his courage when he had to get in the way of the D9 coming charging through. Will only get better as he gets used to playing with his fellow defenders.

I didnt see Brogans Macca but Tarrant was late
He could have punched but opted not too.

Did the Crows get a 50 m penalty from it? I dont think so.
Reilly should have got a 50 m penalty for it, that was a bad knock to his head. It was very immature of Tarrant ( LOL he picked on a young bloke)

He made a couple of errors but overall played a good game and he is a great pick-up for Adelaide. Gives 100% and prepared to put his body on the line. Not only does he add to our defence, but he releases Edwards to play on ball and up forward.

Definitely a plus for Adelaide.

congrats crows
