Congratulations on a top game

I don't know if you're going to think this is patronizing, but i just thought i'd say cheers for the game this round. After an iffy first half, the last quarter at subi was truly fantastic. Makes it all the better when you win under those circumstances, against what is obviously quality opposition.

And I thought that Burton goal was one of the best ever. I was lucky enough to be seated in that pocket and it was a great display of skills.

If only Burton did this sort of thing more consistently.

If only Crows hadn't been as Sh.!.te in the first half.

Oh well, at least it showed some fighting spirit, and maybe the form that had been missing last week and the first half this week has started to come back for Crows now.

Costly hiatus though. I hate it when they do that.

Cuz should get the three...if he doesnt, he is being robbed. McLeod was on fire though in the last quarter but Cousins in the first quarter....well what a display from both players.

Agree with you jod23 ... even though Macca finished extremely well, Cousins was BOG by a country mile when the game was there to be won.

We played a terrible first half but the fighting qualities they showed in the last half was great. I am very proud of them for not giving in and making sure that they came away with some positives from a tough game.

Hey, don't confuse WC and Freo Fans. Freo fans come on and say they let you win if you win, and that they still are the best team in the comp.

Great Game...my heart was starting to creep up to my throat about the 20 minute mark of the 4th quarter. Then there was Lynch. Game over.

How good is McCleod anyway?

I agree Cousins should get BOG as he was the main reason the Eagles jumped the Crows early with a dominant 1st quarter display. He certainly can play a bit - imagine Cousins & McLeod in the same team! IMO, the Eagles would have been unlucky if we pinched the game as we didn't have too many playing decent footy in the 1st half. BTW, where the hell did Lynch come from (& I know he came off the Rookie list)? Will the forward line be big enough to fit him & Wilson? I wish we had that problem as Jackovich & McIntosh stitched up our suposed tall forwards. The way Woosha has the Eagles playing (with basically a similar list), you have to wonder how bad a coach Judge was? That's all the past now & the future looks bright for the Eagles.

Comes originally from a place called Grass Patch, about 80 km away from Esperance. Moved to Aquinas College (school of thugs I tell ya) where he played football and was a rower in summer (no wonder in the year above me Aquinas won with him there). Was an U-18 All-Australian at last years championships after playing for West Perth in the WAFL last year. I was surprised when he wasnt drafted in the national draft but we got a bargain in the rookie draft. His form prior to his promotion from the WAFL at WP was exceptional at CHB.

Cheers mate...all us Eagles fans are pretty excited about the steps forward we have taken this year. It's being a memorable year so far with Port, Adelaide, Brisbane and the Eagles looking likely finalists. That leaves just Sydney and Freo of the interstaters not making it and even Freo are still a shot. Feels great after a 2 year hiatus to finally be back sticking it up the vics

Jod - I am hoping that we will have an all non-Victorian grandfinal this year, as it is a real possibility. Also, imagine if all the Victorian teams were knocked out in the 1st week of the finals leaving Brisbane, Port, Adelaide & West Coast to battle it out for the cup. I wonder how many would thenl turn up to the G (ie. The home team may not get home advantage, but at least then a Victorian team wouldn't get to play an "away" game at the G).

That would be great! 4 preliminary finalists being Port, Adelaide, Brisbane and WC. The Vics would bloody hate that It would also really ram the point home about how stupid the 1 game at the MCG every week is....say a Port v WC game at the G with Brisbane hosting Adelaide. That would surely make waves....
