Congratulations Swans. Just a marvellous day for all supporters and especially all the old South Melbourne Bloods supporters. 72 years is a very long time and many old diehards had just about given up all hope. We cheered our lungs out for the Swans.

I actually saw the greatest of them all the Chimp, Bobby Skilton at half time going into a function and managed to say to him that "perhaps today is the day Skilts" and wished him all the very best.

Just so wonderful for him and the all the rest of the boys who have pulled on the colours over the years.

Pure guts from the Swans. Eagles threw the kitchen sink at you early on in the last and looked to be running away with it. But the Swans simply refused to let them win. You shut them down and won the game almost out of sheer force of will.

It’s been a pretty good few years for a long time Brisbane supporter who has always had the Swans as their second team.

It’s pretty crazy that winning thing isn’t it!!!
