Who would have thought that this time last year certain nameless posters said he had “no future” and will be gone. 12 months later he is Captaining the Nab team. It’s a perfect example how if you work extremely hard you will be rewarded. Onya Jake.

And its fantastic Dimma is resting our blue chip players for a new concept no one knows how it will pan-out physically on the body.

I have always liked jakes muscle, we need a fearless player like that in our side, it just frustrates me when we are on the rebound looking really ****ing good and he clangers, i really hope he improves on that this year and i will have nothing bad to say about him..

Good on the little nugget... at least you know you will get a contest with him around the ball.
If he keeps his form from the last month last year then he gets a game on my half-forward flank.

It's odd that he can play now, but not in round 1, but if he does maul that pimple Didak again he can get further matches.

(I really hope 13 or 14 Maggots try to gang up on him again... classic entertainemnt! )

Ask the tiger cubs what they think of him as a captain when he sells em into trouble with an over hit pass or poor decision once too many times, or gives away his 5th stupid free kick on game day when we're in with a real shot against a top side late in the year..

Will never argue that he doesn't give his all, or set a great example on the track etc. He just doesn't have afl standard disposal or decision making, and loses his rag far too easily.

Still love the bloke though!

A handful of reasonable games don't make career, yeah was better in patches last year but that's not hard from where he came from.

Given it was some of the Tiger Cubs that picked Kingy as Captain, I'd say you have NFI, as Bazaar said.

Actually, where he came from, back in 2008, was not all that bad. Early 08 was quite good in fact.

either that or you wouldnt know a footballer if you fell over one.
jake king was moved out of defense because he was a liability there.
he was then moved out of the midfield yep you guessed because he failed there.
he was given a final chance in the forward line as a defensive player SHEESH hes a defensive sml forward and he played some decent games there in the second half of the season.
all this having regularly shown poor decision making, poor footskills, brain fades, and mediocrity. yep you can praise em up all you like on the back of 10 or so games but at 27 yrs of age it doesnt make him a good afl player.
i wonder whos been in siberia.your typical nuff nuff doesnt like to hear a criticism of a richmond player dont have the balls to put up some facts to prove your argument because there are none so you have a go at the man.

cmon tell us all apart from jakes second half last yr what the hell has he done at the level.
clearly half a season is enough for you to proclaim a player.
