Yep, great game of footy. Best this year so far as far as I'm concerned. Far exceeded my expectations. Congrats GC, you honestly deserved that win, you wanted it more. It was obvious you wouldn't stop fighting even 40 points down which I respect more than any other quality in a footy side. It shows a great spirit and culture which should hold you in great stead into the future. Looking foward to a good game against the Swannies later this year. Hopefully you guys don't pick up too much steam by then

hi all have been a saints supporter my whole life and never really get excited when other teams play but when watching the game my neighbours down the block could hear me yelling and cheering every tackle play and goal. Congratulations on one of the best wins i have seen for awhile, showed some real balls against the odds.
Could think of a better team to beat first up. Proud day for the GCFC. can't wait to see you guys at Carrara.....

Was going ballistic in the last quarter, cheering and jumping like a lunatic in the last quarter - no idea why i wanted to see the suns so badly, but it was fantastic to watch.

Best part of the performance I thought was that you were competitive all game, only time Port got any form of advantage over you was because of mistakes that were made purely because of inexperienced play, which is entirely expected from all your youngsters. When it all clicked in the last, it was absolutely glorious to watch.

I'd like to say to the Suns this. Totally forget the Essendon game . Do not even think about the first quarter score, because every one gets massacred once. You were blitzkreiged by the bombers and they had the capabilities . In the 80's Hawthorn used to ambush sides in the first quarter and then it was over . You guys won a quarter any way.
When your young and new this is going to happen, you were missing a couple of players as well.
This was a Bomber lightening attack the first quarter was " one of those things" what you say now is we're ready next time maybe we'll get a belting occasionally but it'll cost the opposition more than that one quarter did last week.
I've turned into an old softie but politics in football (eg my opposition to two new teams)
aside I like the grit you couldn't win but you certainly "did something" you played it out and you'll never be ambushed again. Good luck. Until you play us of course.
