Matthew Sharpe - (OM) 7 May 1990, 178cm 75kg. SA/Port Adelaide/Portland

"ant555: Matthew Sharpe – 178cm, 75kg –Port Adelaide Magpies.
Have not seen a lot of him but I did notice him doing some nice things in the last champ game against NSW. His clearance work was good and his pace was pretty good as well. Took a few good marks and used the ball ok.
Possible later on in the draft or rookie pick."

Michael Mather - (SD) 13 May 1990, 176cm 70kg. WA/Perth

"ant555: Michael Mather – 176cm, 70kg – Perth / Trinity College.
Played a few roles during the champs and generally did well. Found a bit of the ball on the wing during parts of one game but was generally used as a small defender. His run from defence was good and his pace is pretty good. Kicks mainly right side and his skills are ok although he can make some decision errors. For a defender he works hard to find the ball and offer support.
The down side is he is very small and would certainly be a player who would not see much action early on in his career. Despite his size he attacks the contest very hard.
You would be looking fourth round and later with him."

Alex Silvagni - (KPD) 29 September 1987, 192cm 92kg. Casey Scorpions

"HFF 07: ALEX SILVAGNI 191cm FB/CHB Casey Scorpions
Has been making a name for himself at Casey Fields, playing on and beating some of the power forwards in the second best comp in the country
PROS: - 2nd efforts, 1%, Reads play well, Pace,
CONS: - non to speak off
PREDICTION: could be a smoky in the draft as some clubs (Essendon in particular) are looking for developed backmen. seems the perfect fit. is already 22 and developed."

Joel Fiegert - (SD) 10 October 1990, 179cm 79kg. WA/Perth

"ant555: Joel Fiegert – 179cm, 79kg – Perth.
Busy running half back type with good pace and pretty good skills. Defensive aspects of his game where ok but it was his ability to provide an attacking option from half back that caught my eye. His use of the ball was pretty good and his work rate was also good.
Possible fourth round or later."

Damian Hynes - (KPF) 25 March 1991, 191cm 86kg. SA/Central District/Smithfield

"ant555: Damian Hynes -191cm, 86kg –Central Districts.
Tall forward who showed a bit against NSW. Took a few good marks and showed his ability to read the play with a very good crumbing goal. His pace and skill seemed pretty good in that game and he lead to good spots on the ground.
Have not seen a lot of him but he looked like a good prospect for later in the draft."

Matthew Clark - (IM) 29 September 1990, 172cm 78kg. Dandenong Stingrays/Edithvale Aspendale

"ant555: Matthew Clark – 172cm, 78kg – Dandenong Stingrays.
Solid midfielder with pretty good skills and an ability to find the footy. Is a pretty strong over head mark. His pace is only average and his skills are pretty good although his kicking can be a bit scrappy under pressure.
Lack of real pace hurts but he moves well. Outside rookie chance."

"???: Matt Clark. Edithvale Aspendale FC. Midfielder. 172cm tall. Won the Stingrays best and fairest last season and finished top 5 in the TAC Cup Morriah medal. Matt is a ball magnet, inside, hard working and one the fittest players at the club. Matt is also in the Vic Metro squad and one of the Stingrays vice captains."

Rickey Ferraro - (IM) 25 April 1990, 170cm 74kg. Dandenong Stingrays/Edithvale Aspendale

"ant555: Ricky Ferraro – 170cm, 74kg – Dandenong Stingrays.
Small midfielder who has been a very consistent TAC Cup performer. Pace is reasonably good and his skills are ok without being outstanding. Reads play well and is solid over the ball. Has a bit of a stocky build so I am not sure how much bigger he will get.
May get a look in at rookie level but so many similar players have not been selected in the past."

"???: Ricky Ferraro. Edithvale Aspendale FC. 171cm tall. Midfielder who finished 3rd in the 07 B&F and named co-captain for 08. Tough, uncompromising, inside and usually the best 1%er every game. Ricky leads by example and is extremely popular amongst his peers setting an excellent example both on and off the ground."

Brad Mangan - (SF) 27 April 1991, 185cm 83kg. Murray Bushrangers/Kyabram

"ant555: Brad Mangan – 185cm, 83kg –Murray Bushrangers.
Used predominately as a forward . His work rate is good and he keeps moving and presenting around half forward. Has reasonable pace and knows where to lead and when not to be in the way. Takes a good contested mark and his skills are pretty good. Can find a bit of the ball and kick goals.
Bottom aged kid who has kept improving all year."

"MurrayFan: Brad Mangan looks good, one who should hold his spot when the rep boys come back, hard worker, not afraid of the bottom of the pack, team player"

Lachlan Keeffe - (R) 14 April 1990, 204cm 84kg. QLD (Collingwood Rookie)

"Jason McCartney: Lachlan Keefe - Although he didn't have a lot of the ball, he is now tied to Collingwood under the non-registered for three years rule. He was at our AIS camp in December, through our rookie search program and he showed fantastic athleticism. What impressed me against NSW/ACT is the work that Collingwood has already put into him. You can just see he has developed, as he has improved since we last saw him. He looked really clean and there has already been a transformation in him. So there is some real upside to him."

"Quigley: Keefe – he is signed with Collingwood and it is going to be a long time before we see him playing in the AFL. He is raw as they come and if Qld were serious he should not have been playing at the Champs. He is a long way behind the likes of Bevan, Smouha and Hill and they should have rucked in preference to him. For whatever reason he did play and he showed some glimpses of nice things interspersed with some demonstrations of how inexperienced he is. The good – he is a legit 204 cm so he definitely has AFL ruck size. As you might expect he is on the thin side at the moment but he has a frame that looks like it will fill out nicely. He seems to have good timing on his marking and pretty good hands and when you combine that with his height he is dangerous in a marking contest. He is a big kick and his kicking generally seems okay. Most of the negatives come from him not really having much idea of the game and knowing very little of positioning, where he should go and when. The game I watched he did half a dozen things which would have had his coach tearing his hair out including two things which lead directly to goals. As mentioned physically he looks like a reasonable prospect but there is a hell of a lot of polishing to be done before you will be able to tell if he is a diamond or quartz."

Jack Western - (F) 3 April 1991, 189cm 81kg. Gippsland Power/Foster

"ant555: Jack Western – 189cm, 81kg – Gippsland Power.
Yet another bottom aged kid who has kept improving all year. Has played mainly as a half forward but has had some stints in defence. He is pretty mobile and plays the mobile half forward role well. His pace is ok but nothing exceptional. Likes to kick a goal and uses the ball well. Is just a little short to play true KP which will leave him a bit in between as far as roles go at AFL level. Possible chance late in the draft."

Mitchell Brown - (KPF) 28 August 1990, 191cm 82kg. Sandringham Dragons/Mentone Grammer

"hulld: The time has come...........this guy deserves his own thread. Another superb performance on the weekend with 20 possessions and 9 marks. Was a very unselfish performance and he worked tirelessly all day.
For those of you who have been living on another planet and are yet to realize this guy's talent, here is a bit of his background story:
Started the year off playing for the Old Mentonian under 19's where he kicked 20 goals in 5 games playing as a 17 year old. Four of these games were after he had played school footy in the morning. His biggest haul was a bag of 9 against Oakleigh.
He was the dominant key forward in the AGSV this season for Mentone Grammar. In a struggling team he managed to kick plenty of goals. There were at least 6 games where he managed to kick at least 4 goals. Highlighted by a bag of 8 he kicked against Penisula in front of Jarrod Molloy.
That performance led him to get signed up by Sandy where the impressive performances only continued. In his debut for Sandy against Gippsland he had 20 touches, 8 marks and kicked a goal. Other strong performances include a 4 goal game against the Stingrays, another 10 mark game (6 of which were contested) against Gippsland, and this past week he had 20 possessions and 9 marks against the Falcons.
But his best performance of the season would have to have been the bag of 8goals he kicked in the AGSV/APS match. Against opponents of high calibre he was the only stand out player in a match that showcased names such as Watts, Shuey and Toy.
For those of you who haven't seen him play he is a kid with great natural ability. Has the habit of making everything look easy. Reads the play really well and that would be his main reason for making his opponents look silly. I haven't seen anyone in junior footy this season with a better pair of hands then Mitch. Manages to take contested marks at will and with a couple of seasons in the gym this aspect of his game will only improve. His skills are really good and this combined with his great vision has allowed him to set up plenty of goals also.
He has been invited to the state screening which obviously proves I'm not the only one who has spotted his talent. Definitely one to look out for on draft day.
Thoughts of you that have seen him play......"

"GenW: From what i have seen this guy is a jet. Great contested mark, big work rate and footy smart. He has come from nowhere and would have walked into the VIC metro team if he was in the system earlier.
I hope Stephen Wells and his crew have him in their sights for our first round pick.
He has the work rate and courage in the air of a Nick Reiwoldt and the balance and poise of a James Hird on the ground.
He could be very special."

"GoestheTorp: Mitch Brown (Sandy/Menton Grammar) is a certainty to be taken early in the draft. He has played well in some big games. The 8 goals straight he kicked in the AGS v APS game was amazing. This game had Shuey, Watts, Andrews in it and he obliterated them all! Has been kicked bags for Sandy recently and is really on the radar.
Late 1st round for me"

Riley Heddles - (IM / OM) 15 January 1991, 176cm 75kg. Dandenong Stingrays/Berwick

"ant555: Riley Heddles – 176cm, 75kg –Dandenong Stingrays.
Clever midfielder who is a bit on the small side. Pace is pretty good and he has pretty good skills and can kick on both sides of the body. Runs hard and gives his all. He is a good tackler and will get in and get the hard ball.
Bottom age kid who is an outside chance this year."

Matt Cunningham - (D) 16 January 1990, 188cm 78kg. VicM/Eastern Rangers/Wantirna Sth

"ant555: Matt Cunningham – 188cm, 78kg –Eastern Rangers.
Hard running defender who is playing his third year of TAC Cup footy. Has a fantastic work rate and is prepared to run off his man to get involved. His defensive side is very good and he does the disciplined things all the time. Has reasonable pace. In the past his kicking had been a real problem for him but this year he has improved a lot in that area.
Good kid to look at for a rookie spot."

Levi Casboult - (R) 15 March 1990, 196cm 95kg. Dandenong Stingrays/Beaconsfield

"ant555: Levi Casboult -196cm, 95kg –Dandenong Stingrays.
Ruckman who is not overly tall but uses his leap well and wins a lot of hit outs. Gets around the ground ok but never gets really big numbers. Pace is ok and skills are pretty good for a tall. Can take a good contested mark.
Probably going to be too short to be drafted as a ruckman."

Nathan Gordon - (SF) 12 February 1990, 184cm 78kg. NSW/ACT RAMS/East Coast (Sydney NSW Scholarship?)

"Jason McCartney: Nathan Gordon - Nathan has not been named as a scholarship player yet, but I'm led to believe Sydney will claim him. He was really good overhead for a smaller player. He's 184cm, plays up forward and is really smart around goals. He's an opportunist and can push up into the midfield as well. Nathan also kicked a couple of goals in the second quarter and was really impressive."

"Quigley: Gordon – an interesting player. He played up forward as a medium tall forward and was extremely good on the lead. His agility was first rate and his ability to turn his opponent and keep his feet created goals for NSW. He is thin with long legs and a short body. His pace is good and he is good overhead."

Steven Kennedy - (OM) 25 August 1989, 180cm 71kg. Western Jets/Altona

"ant555: Steven Kennedy – 180cm, 71kg – Western Jets.
Probably not in line to be drafted but has had a reasonable couple of seasons for the Jets. Plays an outside on ball role and gets plenty of HB receives. His use of the ball by foot can be a bit ordinary but his handball is good. Reads the play well and has reasonable pace.
If his numbers where consistently higher then he may be looked at. Outside rookie chance."

Michael Barnes - (IM) 27 March 1991, 179cm 76kg. Eastern Rangers/Knox

"ant555: Michael Barnes -179cm, 76kg –Eastern Rangers.
Bottom age midfielder who has been a little disappointing to me this year. I saw him put in a couple of really good games last year as a sixteen year old but he has failed to consistently capture his best form this year. On his day he reads the play well and is good in and around the stoppages. His skill level is ok but his kicking seems to vary from week to week. He has had some games where he has simply not kicked all that well at all. His pace is ok but he is not a jet.
Someone may take a punt on him late but chances are he will be left until next year."

Jaryd Blair - (IM) 14 April 1990, 172cm 70kg. Gippsland Power/Wonthaggi

"ant555: Jaryd Blair -172cm, 73kg –Gippsland Power
Another small rover who did ok for Country during the champs. Has pretty good pace and vision. Reads the stoppages ok and has a nice side step. He has been pretty consistent at kicking goals when resting forward in the TAC Cup. His skills seem to vary from game to game. Has had games where he has not missed a target all day but has also produced a few shockers where he has failed by foot and hand. His work rate is generally good and his tackle count is usually pretty high. Likes the tough in and under stuff.
Like a lot of players question marks on his size and skills could count against him."

Brentyn Milverton - (SD) 24 June 1990, 180cm 77kg. Tas/Latrobe

"rizzo: Brentyn Milverton - 77kg - 180cm - 24.06.1990
An interesting one, that probably wont get drafted. A medium – Small sized defender who is as tough as nails. He is hard at the man and also at the ball and never takes a backwards step. The only criticism I have of him is that he probably gets a little bit lost when things do n’t go his way.
Skills - Toughness, Attack on the man, Link up role"

Brodie A'Vard - (KPF / KPD) 26 April 1990, 197cm 90kg. NSW/ACT RAMS/Murry Bushrangers

"ant555: Brodie A’Vard – 197cm, 90kg – NSW/ACT Rams / Murray Bushrangers.
Tall KP prospect who spent time at both ends of the ground for NSW during the champs. Does not win a huge amount of the ball. Defence was reasonable during the champs. Has played mainly as a forward /ruckman for the Bushies. Skills are reasonable although his kicking has been suspect in some games.
Not someone I think will go in the ND but he could be a project type for the rookie draft."

Ryan McKenzie - (SF) 10 February 1990, 175cm 73kg. VicC/North Ballarat Rebels/Warrack Eagles

"ant555: Ryan McKenzie -175cm, 73kg –North Ballarat.
Lively small forward/rover who loves a goal. His crumbing skills around the forward line are very good. His pace is nothing to write home about. He does not let his size stop him from getting in and under the packs and is prepared to do the team things. Will block and shepherd . For a little bloke he is good overhead . His skills are pretty good but he is not an elite kick of the ball. Will kick both sides of the body.
His lack of size and the fact he is not super quick certainly play against him but he is a smart footballer who should be looked at late in the draft."

Sam Hughes - (SF) 24 June 1990, 177cm 66kg. VicC/Geelong Falcons/Leopold

"ant555: Sam Hughes -177cm, 66kg –Geelong Falcons.
Small lightly framed forward/rover. Have good pace and pretty good skills. Kicks mainly right side in the games I have seen him play. Reads the play well around the forward line and his front and centre work is good. Prepared to do the one percenters and get involved to help his team mates. His TAC Cup numbers have been pretty consistent over the last two seasons.
May get passed over because of his size. Maybe rookie draft."

Jack Redden - (IM) 9 December 1990, 185cm 74kg. SA/Glenelg/Keith

"rizzo: Jack Redden - 74kg - 185cm - 09.12.1990
Don’t ask me what it is about this guy, but I have a huntch. Think that he was probably starved a bit of game time, but has all the natural markings of a footballer in the making. He is a good mark, and has a nice kick on him. Has very good hands, and is a bloke that will get the ball out of a contested situation quite well.
Skills - Handpassing, Playmaking, Marking"

"Anonymous: Jack Redden: About 185-187 cms, 75-77kgs? Similar size to Dawson however he is a different player. Jack plays through the midfield and accumulates large amounts of the ball and uses it affectively most of the time by hand and foot. He is an inside mid who is very clean and composed around stoppages. He can also move forward to create/kick goals. He is the brother of Tom who was rookie listed to the Crows a couple of years ago. Another Sacred Heart College lad who played for Glenelg in the U/19's and Reserves. Also played S.A. U/18's against Vic Country and NSW/ACT wearing the number 36."

Sam O'Sullivan - (IM) 23 November 1990, 186cm 80kg. Oakleigh Chargers/Xavier College

"ant555: Sam O’Sullivan – 186kg, 80kg –Sandringham Dragons /Xavier College.
Have only seen him play a couple of times but he was impressive. Finds lots of the ball and his clearance work is very good. Has good hands at ground level and uses the ball by hand very well. Like a few others his kicking is a bit of a down side. He can miss a few targets.
Worth looking at later on."

dylan Joyce - (IM) 21 February 1990, 174cm 70kg. VicM/Calder Cannons/Doutta Stars

"ant555: Dylan Joyce – 174cm, 70kg –Calder Cannons.
Small rover who has been very consistent over his TAC Cup career. Finds a lot of the ball and reads the play pretty well. He is not a long kick of the ball but his skills are generally good. Has had days where his kicking has been off the mark but in general he uses the ball well. Has good pace but is not super quick. One thing I have noticed about him is he can have a touch of the fumbles at ground level in some games.
With his size I am not sure if he does enough super well in a few areas to be drafted."
